Your cart is empty. What is Radon?
Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas released from soil, rock, and groundwater. It seeps into buildings through cracks and openings in the foundation. Prolonged exposure to high levels of radon can damage lung tissue and is the second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking.
Why Choose the HOUND-1085?
1. High-precision radon detector with semiconductor sensor and triple-vent design.
2. Monitors short- and long-term radon levels, logging data every 6 hours and storing up to 504 days locally.
3. Customizable visual and audio alerts to warn of elevated radon levels in real time.
4. Rechargeable and portable, 45-day use in ECO mode, ideal for room-to-room use.
How to Use?
Hold the main button to turn on. Place on a flat surface away from vents. First reading appears after 6 hours, then updates hourly. Use buttons to check history, change units, set alarms, and more.
Recommended Placement
Place the detector in areas where radon may accumulate, such as basements, garages, or near floor cracks.
To ensure accurate readings:
1. Keep it on a flat, stable surface, away from vibration or movement.
2. Position it 0.5 to 2 meters above the ground, not directly against walls.
3. Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, high humidity, or strong airflow, like near windows, bathrooms, or stoves.
Keep the device still during measurement for the best results.
