I installed it in my 15 gallon Betta fish tank when the water was at 73F. I set the heater o 82F. 12 hours later (overnight), the temperature was still sitting at 73F. The thermometer (pictured after 12 hours) is accurate because i double checked it with my food thermometer as well. I live in So California where we have mild weather, so it's not like the tank is in a freezing room. I'm tired of these cheap Chinese heaters so I will return it and get a brand name product instead.

I've been using this on my reef tank with a temperature controller for about 2 years now, so far I've had no issues! Probably the longest I personally have had a heater last.

I actually liked this heater. The plastic cage around it added a layer of security.Unfortunately, it died last month and I only bought it April of 2023. Which means it lasted less than a year.

Great quality aquarium heater. Works well. I would use it on any aquarium over 30g but for smaller tanks it does the job and keeps a consistent 82° in my tank.

I’ve gotten a few of these heaters in the past and have wrote a good review before but now I’m changing my mind.Just like many people state on here that the heater will stop working, it’s true. My heaters have stopped working not very long after getting them. Unfortunate because I spent so much money on them all to come and now my fish are in a bad state because the water went so cold, so fast.If you love your fish, don’t get this heater.

It is adjustable, you determine the setting. I don't trust preset heaters, and this one is a top dial style, but the temp you set it to is easily read in your hand, but not when submerged. However, it is completely submersible and uses real numbers, not marks, notches, or a stupid plain dial.. What is not good about this heater, and it is my ONLY complaint, is no on light.. Even the preset that came from an aquarium kit has a light so you can tell when it is on and functioning. This does not. I always use a photography thermometer on all my tanks to know what the temp really is. So far, so good. This product is only a degree or so off, quite acceptable. It's just if it wasn't functioning I could not discern this by sight. Thus I deducted one star.

I ordered this for my oranda goldfish tank. Knowing how incredibly clumsy they are, it was important to me to find a heater that had a heat shield. I also didn’t want to break the bank either, and this product was perfect for that aspect. I painted my tanks background black, and it blends in so well you can’t even see it unless you’re looking for it or the light is on. It heats the water very well so far, my only problem with this product is that it is so hard to change the temperature because of how close the dial is to the cord. Also, the cord is so incredibly short. Other than that, I really like this heater and would definitely purchase another one.

I have koi/goldfish hybrids. they say they don't need heaters. But in my opinion they do sometimes. These heaters are great and accurate. two of my fish that i was told didn't need a heater will bang on the heater to try and turn it on. so much for no heater theory. And by the way i have 52d of them, and the 2 i told you about have broken heaters in the past because they wern't on. These heaters can't be broke. fish don't appreceiate it but my pocketbook does. Great value and work really good. will bbe ordering another soon.
