Used to repair butt joint of two 2 1/2 inch exhaust pipes. Simple to install, just line everything up and tighten well. Even has a little square of black sealant pre-positioned to fill the small gap where the pipe ends intersect the clamp gap. Zero leaks that I could detect. It's stainless and heavy zinc coated steel, so it should hold up as well as the original clamp (12 years).

Great band clamps. Single-bolt design is easier to get set up than those with external nuts. Walker/Dynomax's website says these will work with either 2.5" OD *or* ID pipe, and they're right. You need to put some force into them (impact gun will do it), but these will stretch and form themselves to butt-join two 2.5" ID pipes, if you're trying to MacGyver some mufflers and adapters together. The pre-applied sealant does a fine job of flowing into and filling any gaps. And, they're less expensive than the chinese brands somehow!

it was not Dynomax but tenneco, with the same part number, still stainless and still did the job.

Stainless band, carbon bolts. Doesn't make sense. Works though, reasonably good fit, no leaks. Installed to make section of exhaust removable. Will see how it holds up.

This worked very well. The description is not specific, but this part number is for use with a butt joint with both sides being 2-1/2" OD. Time will tell if it resist burning, but no complaints with installation or product quality at this point.

These are 2.5" clamps just look up the Walker exhaust part number. After using these I will never use a regular clamp again! No more cutting pipe to slip over and clamping it on with clamps that leak. All I did was cut my exhaust, (the blade hung up once on me causing an uneven cruddy cut) knock out the bad cat the rest of the way, then put this clamp on.The thin stainless steel formed to the messed up pipe and the tar like material assures no leaks where it bolts together.Just wish I had thought about trying these before. Also think I will try to do an all stainless exhaust after my current one runs out. After seeing how easy this was, I'll probably never weld an exhaust again either."Tenneco markets its products principally under the Monroe®, Walker®, Gillet(tm) and Clevite®Elastomer brand names." which is a US based company too bad they're moving some of their stuff to Mexico as well, just hope the quality stays the same.
