Bar slides on over top and between the terminals on a standard 12 V battery. Not the brace I was looking for.

The hold down bolts were much too long unless you have a means of shortening them I recommend you don’t purchase this product

i bought these for a honda accord. the J bolts were a little too long so i cut about 1.5 inches off the ends. once i modified them, they fit fine and no worries about the hood closing. the bracket is not the most durable metal, but the battery is held in place securely and that is all i care about. would buy again.

Installed on 1997 Jeep wrangler TJ. I have it on the smallest setting, which leaves it slightly too large to fit snuggly on the battery. But when you get it all tightened, it functions as it should. I trimmed off roughly 3 inches of the studs to create enough clearance, they were too long to allow proper fitment. Which is the only reason I deducted a star, with just a couple minutes and simple hand tools, this can be accomplished. I will probably add some foam to the angle brackets that secure the battery, to alleviate any potential “slop”
