Very pleased after a year of use. Very sturdy, compact and functional, no leaks. Works great to store 100 ft of hose. Easy to pull hose out and to crank to store the hose again. Was cautious when I purchased because so few hose reels have good reviews. This has been a great purchase so far.

I've only assembled the cart and stowed 100ft of hose on it. Have not used it yet. The assembly is very straight forward and the solid tires are a bonus.

Good alternative to cheap plastic carts that don’t last. Opted to spend a little more for better quality. I use it as a caddy ONLY to store and transport 100 ft hose around the yard, meaning I don’t attach the connector hose to my spigot. Hence, I can’t speak to how well it works from that standpoint. That said, it’s fit for the intended purpose. Frame is solid, I like the no-hassle/no-inflate rubber tires, wheels roll smoothly, fits 100 ft of hose with room to spare, and assembly was super easy. As others mentioned, once you attach the upper section (handle bar) to the unit it can’t be removed so there’s no turning back - make sure you want to keep it before attaching it to lower section of the frame.I subtracted a star because the manufacturer should outfit the part of the frame that sits on the ground with rubber feet/bumpers for added protection against wearing off the metal finish from ground contact. As suggested by another reviewer, I bought a set of rubber feet for $7 (included washers, screws plus extra spare set of bumpers), drilled holes in the bottom of frame then used tap set to add threads and attach the rubber feet.

recieved this hose reel today, put it together in 20 minutes, very well built, all parts were there, includeing directiond, (i just looked at the diagram, it was so easy),after assembly i did grease the wheel bearings with spray grease ,and the crank handle. Hooked it up to the hose and turned water on, NO LEAKS. highly recomend this reel, tires are heavy duty also.

I bought one of these last year and it came with all the parts, and fit together fine. I figured I buy another exactly the same, but it was a mess. The bolts holding the wheels on did not start in the threads, either the threads are different, or the welded in nut was damaged on both sides. Then went to put the reel handle on and was missing the bolts. Then went to put the pull handle on and again missing the bolts. No damage to the plastic bag that holds all the parts, so it left the factory that way. I wouldn't recommend again. For the price, it should have better quality control, but it's just a cheap piece of junk now.

The steel frame fits my needs of holding a 75 foot hose with ease. The tires are extremely cheap and will definitely not last more than two seasons. Make sure that the tires are half full or the rubber will crack around the seam very quickly.

A little difficult to assemble, but overall it's a good sturdy unit that seems like it will last a long time. Much better choice than those plastic hose reels in my opinion

I had this put together in about ten minutes. The instructions are horrible, but enough to guide you the right direction and to enable you to figure out what to assemble in what order. I did have one screw on the handle assembly that didn't line up very well and I thought I might end up stripping the threads, but it finally went in with a little persistence. Also,I had no problem with the handle hitting the unit as others have mentioned; apparently the manufacturer fixed that issue. I agree that it needs some sort of padding on the bottom bar that sits on the ground; otherwise the protective coating will scratch off over time and it will probably rust. This next point is obvious, but thought I'd say it anyway. It does not "hide" your garden hose like the plastic "box models" do, so in that respect it is not as esthetically pleasing to the eye...it's actually a little gaudy to some degree. But, if you want something that is very functional and keeps your hose tidy, something that will last for quite some time, this is it. The large wheel that holds the hose and the handle to turn it with makes short work of rolling up a long section of hose. I have 50 feet of large diameter hose on mine and it can take a little more, but I don't think it will take a full 100 feet very easily with the thicker sort of hose I have.Overall, though, I do recommend it. Great craftsmanship; it will last a while, I believe.
