Full disclosure, I received this item as part of Amazon's Vine Program in exchange for an honest review, good or bad. I bought this apron because it seemed like it would be heavier duty than a regular cloth or canvas apron and I wanted something that would keep the sawdust/shavings off me while I used my wood lathe. The issue with regular woodworking aprons is they always have pockets, but they fill up with sawdust when using a lathe. This apron does a great job at keeping you clean and not filling up with sawdust. It does have one flaw. The strings to tie the apron closed are too short. It would be fine for someone 6' tall and 100 lbs, but if you are any size at all, you will not be able to close the apron. Fortunely you can add longer strings though the gromets by tying them on.

I do a lot of fabric dying, and this is ideal to protect me not only from the dye, but the dye in its powder form. The apron has a good weight, and the neck strap is great.The waist strings are a cheap. Like ribbons from an old bra or something, so you may want to invest in a more substantial string. But all in all this is getting a lot of use from me.
