This is so well weighted and fits in your hand really well. Of course it doesn’t hurt that it is designed by Tula and I love the colour of the handle.

The guard for the blade is too easily broken. There is a small plastic pin that engages the guard with the guard actuator that breaks too easily. My wife had used a friend's cutter and liked how it felt in her hand and how it cut, so I ordered one for her birthday. When it arrived, the blade guard was broken and could not be engaged. Strange thing, that weekend while my wife was at a quilting retreat, her friend's also broke in the same fashion. She is able to engage the guard by using a pin, a bit of a pain but it protects her from the sharp blade. We are trying to return the product but have yet to get a return authorization and a return label from the vendor although we have received an email saying it is okay to return it.
