Tapered roller bearings are separable into a cone assembly and a cup.
They are designed to accommodate combined loads, i.e. simultaneously acting radial and axial loads.
Use for high-load, moderate-speed applications that include automotive axle systems and conveyor systems.
(The non-separable cone assembly consists of the inner ring, the rollers, and a cage that retains & evenly spaces the rollers. The cup is simply the outer ring.)
