The item is covered by one-year limited warranty from the date of purchase against defective factory materials and workmanship. It does not cover postage, accidental damage, consequential or incidental loss, wear and tear, abuse, or misuse such as water damage and overloading damage.
MAINTENANCE
The scale is a precision instrument. Handle with care. Never overload it. Protect it from liquid spills, moisture, extreme temperatures, UV, shaking, dropping, shocking, and other abuses. Preserve its finish by wiping with a slightly dampened soft cloth. Do not use solvents, harsh chemicals, abrasive or corrosive cleaning agents. Empty its weighing pan after use. If it will not be used for a long period of time, remove the batteries and disconnect the AC adapter. Store it in a cool and dry place.

Compared to the other competing products, this scale comes at about $5-$10 cheaper while offering all of the same features. The scale does not feel cheap in your hand, and I like the variety of power options available. You can use 3 AAA batteries, the included power adapter, or your own with the included USB cable. The included power adapter is as basic as basic can be, and has no real safety certifications. If this is something that you care about, you can use any USB wall adapter.This scale seems to be accurate, as I tested it against my smaller food scales for smaller measurements. They were all equal, and I definitely appreciated the larger surface area of this scale. That being said, this really isn't meant for measuring large boxes. Sure it is capable of measuring up to 50KG, however it would have to be a small box as large boxes block the screen. If you are measuring a large box you can try to reach the hold button to enable it, however you cannot press it ahead of time.Overall, this scale is built well and is accurate. The small footprint works against it as it is quite difficult to weigh large things that overlap the screen.
