Bought this to play in a RATM tribute and it works flawlessly. It is a little harder on the wrist to use than a killswitch on the body of the guitar (assuming your input jack is on the side like mine) but it beats buying a new guitar or installing a killswitch yourself

That said, the kill switch function only activates when you're pressing on it rather than acting as an on-off button - something to be aware of.It seems to be very sturdy.
