These are a steel plate with a thick black finish for rust prevention. They are pre-drilled with holes that line up with most E-Track rail mounting holes. These fit mine perfectly, although I understand that the spacing on different brands of E-Track rail mounting holes is not totally universal, and they may vary slightly from brand to brand, requiring the drilling or enlarging of the holes in some cases. These are typically used to ringgit wood when mounting the tasks on plywood and the like. I got these to reinforce the rail I have mounted on the front of my tilt bed golf cart trailer that I use to clip wheel chocks onto for hailing motorcycles. The bed of the trailer is expanded metal, and although I have never had a problem to date with bolts loosening, or the expanded metal bending, I wanted these to make sure the bed of the trailer was protected well. These fit right on for me, with no modification required, I just removed the nuts and giant thick fender washers I had on the underside of where the rail was mounted, put this plate over the bolts, then put my washers and nuts back on. Installation was easy as it could get. I do think I might sense a more secure rail assembly when I strap a motorcycle into the chocks, but that may be my imagination too, lol. Either way, these fit well, work well to reinforce the rail, and give me peice of mind. I think these were well worth the cost in my case, and if you need something like this you should consider them.

These plates worked out well to keep the bolts holding my E track down from pulling through the wooden floor. The holes lined up for the most part if you line up the plates, there were a few areas where I had to turn the plates 90 degrees and then redrill a couple of the holes. These plates are nicely coated and thick enough to where they don't bend or dimple when you tighten the bolts/nuts down tight with the E track and backers. I would definitely recommend these if you are not screwing/bolting the E track down to the frame of the trailer!
