The only reason I gave this shredder a 4 star out of 5 is because the points or 'spikes' rather are too far apart. I feel like there should have been an extra layer of spikes right before the final layer to ensure shredding everything. I twist clockwise and counterclockwise and after a few twists, I go all the way around a few times both ways again, but no matter how I twist, there are still big pieces of meat that avoid the spikes all together and just travel around the shredder without getting torn up. However- The parts that DO get shredded, are shredded very well. The suction cups on the bottom hold very well, and the difficulty twisting is extremely minimal, in case carpel tunnel or arthritis is an issue for you. Very easy to use.Update: It's now May 2025 and I've only used this product 4 times. One of the spikes broke off despite careful cleaning. Changed my review to 1 star. Disappointed.

Couldn’t wait for it to arrive so I could try it out. It arrived today and I had 2 cooked chicken breasts ready for action. Of course I washed and put the handles in prior to use. I will say the spikes could be painful if not careful. I read a lot of reviews prior to purchasing so I had some ideas on what to expect. It’s easier if you push the pieces of chicken down all the way then put top on. Sometimes I had to rearrange but not an issue for me. I’m happy with the construction and functionality. Love how it has suction cups on the bottom . Just watch those spikes when cleaning. Will save time and easier then shredding by hand for me at least.

This works great to shred chicken. Buy a whole rotisserie chicken for ~$6 and then shred it and have meat for days. Easy to use, easy to clean. The hardest things are keeping it stable on the counter top - occasionally it wants to slide around - and getting all of the pieces to shred if you overload it. Definitely recommend.

Wish I would have had this year's ago. It's awesome! Easy to use and shreds chicken in minutes. I really like that this product has the container that you can lift up with your shredded chicken in it. Makes it easy to add to recipes and easy to clean. I put the pieces on the top rack of the dishwasher and it's good to go. Really a great help in the kitchen!! I purchased several for Christmas gifts!!

I saw this used on a post on IG. I used it the same day of arrived. It does an amazing job of shredding chicken. I haven’t tried any other meat so I can’t speak to use for that.
