After about three to four months you'll notice the colors start to fade. I purchased another one to show the difference between a new one and one that has been on my truck for the past few months. You can see where the sun or maybe the car washes have faded the paint. You can't make this product without knowing that it's going to be out in the elements. Clearly they didn't do their homework. Disappointing to say the least. I'll send this one back and try another brand.

So I love the appearance of this. Unfortunately the two other things that matter the most are not great for my truck. First it took a lot of MacGyvering to make it fit my truck. Definitely not a ready to screw in product for my gmc truck. Then the claims of great reception or antenna function are greatly exaggerated. I lost tons of reception and radio stations that I’ve always had. Very small range for weaker/smaller signal strength radio stations.So be ready for that. I had bought a different one for my wife’s GMC Acadia. Her radio has such great reception that I could totally remove her antenna and she had stations I couldn’t get w/ this bullet antenna.So in summary,be ready to figure out how to make it fasten to your vehicle and lose radio stations in order to have a very cool looking antenna. Lol
