I'm just a shade tree mechanic that works on mine in my family's vehicles. Brakes are something I'm very comfortable doing and have always used AC. Clamp to push the brake calipers back. It's not a hard tool to use, but the weight in design of it does make it just a little bit tricky sometimes. And that is the real bonus to this tool as it works very similar to a sea clamp, but you don't have the extra weight of the big c to deal with. Simple to use and it does the job very well and I have zero complaints.

Sometimes, you purchase a tool and it looks good. It might have some polished parts, a bit of chrome, maybe some cool accent paint here-and-there. But, of course, none of that matters to how the tool actually works. This tool is like that - it's definitely not going to win any beauty contest of the tools in your tool box, but it's going to do a fine job with helping to complete your brake job!There are three brake disc adaptors - one is a fixed size and the other is a 2-in-1 - the latter is chromed. It works, but the chrome is not great. There are small spots of rust already formed in the corners and the plating is uneven. The two other adaptors are a gun-metal grey, and are fine. The apical plate is also rather rough, but it works fine!The main body has two components. A large threaded bolt (part 1), runs through the plate holder (part 2). The plate holder is the only other piece of hardware that is chrome plated. And again, it is on the rough side. On close exception, there are pits and divots in the steel, at various locations. But the knurling is very well done - not too sharp, but with excellent grip. In fact, the top portion - where the plate goes - is very well done. The chrome is applied well and evenly, and the base steel underneath, is without any defects.The only issue for me, is the lack of a container of some sort. If I place all five pieces into a drawer, I know I will lose a piece or two in short time. It needs - for me! - a container to keep these parts together. But I also have lots of different sizes of cases, bags and such. I will probably just use a tough, see-through plastic bag, like those freezer zip-lock bags. Easy to see the parts, keeps them together and it's tough enough not to rip apart with each use.Bottom Line - A solid working tool. And I want to emphasize the "WORKING" part. The tool is used in a nasty area of a vechicle - lots dirt, grime, brake dust - so there is no need for something polished up like a diamond. This a tool that will replace your C-clamp, do a better job at the same time, and make life easier when doing a brake job!

Tool as expected, 5 pieces are enough to use. It comes with a very basic plastic package, the tool deserve a better carton box.Tool itself is very basic looks in good quality should be ok for general use. It would also be great to come with a quick maual.

Excellent bill quality the little adaptors fit in place snuggly but not ridiculously so the threads are remarkably smooth for as industrial of a piece as it is and it’s just all around well made now I have not had the necessity to put it to use yet no doubt I will in the near future But you can tell just by looking at its design and having experience with disc brakes that it’s going to do what it was designed to do, and I did put it in my voice and thread it out just to see how it would work if it was gonna hold up and what kind of pressure I could exert with it and I was actually quite surprised, but what was really surprising was how smooth the threads are and I know I’ve said that twice now but that’s true. It’s This is more of a first impressions rather than a straight up review because I haven’t had the application to put it to work yet, but that’s coming until then. I am going to sleep easy knowing I have this in my toolbox because there’s no doubt it does the thing and at the price point. It seems like a cheap insurance to have for when the day comes that you do need it, but that’s just my line of thinking.

REVIEW - Brand: 4UNeed - 5PCS Brake Caliper Compression Tool Set,Chrome-Plated Steel Caliper Piston Compressor Tool for Replacing Brake Pads,Universal Brake Caliper Tool Automotive Tools for Car SUV Truck (5 PCS)I found this caliper tool to be useful and functional, it was capable of working on both of my vehicles and successfully depressed the cylinders of my brake calipers. I do find that this is a touch more involved process setting it up to use versus some on the market, only because the horseshoed plate needs to be placed then select your end, adjust with both hands to make sure it will stay in place, then you can start to give it pressure, some are a littler quicker, but this is still quick enough and fully functional.The build of the tool seems pretty durable to me, would not consider it to be a heavy duty tool, but for the home user, I would say it would serve the its purpose for many years. The threading is very smooth and adjusts very nicely. The included options for plates is nice, some have the two holes on the piston, some are flat and others are cupped, so it gives you options for most. Only issue I found was that the horseshoed plate was the weakest quality, I did run into a seized piston and even though I was getting it to move, I ended up bending the plate, it was only a slight curve, I corrected with a hammer, so half weaker steel and half my fault.I did like that there was options to put a torx or a socket on the end of the tool to make it spin, I can't remember exactly but I think I used a 18mm.Overall, I think it is a useful tool, it gives universal options, does the job and stays centered, so for a roughly 20 dollar product, I think it is worth it. Would recommend.

Well worth the money, great tool to heavy, very solid and durable build quality. Can’t believe how heavy it is, very reassuring!Comes well oiled and ready to go, simple to use and very helpful for pressing pistons back into the caliper.For the price, can’t argue. 5 stars!
