So, I went on a little buying spree for some headphones which didn't break the bank and sounded great. I must've gone through 3 or 4 set of headphones before I finally landed on these AKG K92's and I'm so glad I got these on a little discounted price. These are very light weight and when you lift them up, you might think that they might not have heft in sound if they do not have the weight. But don't let that fool you, these things hit hard, the bass is solid and the clarity of sound is awesome.Due to their light weight, they are very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. They do not cause any abnormal aches and pains and the clamping force on the head is decent. Not too tight and not too loose. The cable is super long where I had to keep a bit of it wrapped up so that I do not get it all tangled. It is not detachable so some people might not like that but it's not a big deal for me. The cable ends in a 3.5 mm jack but they also come with a 1/4" jack which can be screwed into the 3.5 mm end. The cable is pretty decent quality but I wouldn't pull on them too much as replacing it might be an issue if they do get damaged. The sound quality, as mentioned before, is amazing for the price. I do not have any high end headphones to compare them to but what I have compared them to, they sound amazing. The bass is quite pronounced and listening to music with deep bass or watching action movies would be a pleasure. They can literally shake the cans with bass if the volume is turned up a bit.The mids are decent. I would say they are not the forte of these headphones but they do nicely for the price. They can't compare to Sennheiser in terms of how much clarity mids have but they are not bad in any way.The highs are quite bright but not overly harsh where your ears are fatigued.Overall the headphones provide a very nice balance between price, quality of build, sound quality and comfortability. I would highly recommend these headphones for anyone starting out in the field of audio enthusiasm.PS: I would highly recommend pairing them with a DAC/headphone amplifier to get the most out of them. I don't listen to my headphones without DACs anymore so I can't say how much worse they sound when used without a DAC.

I bought these on sale to have a second pair of headphones to use while playing and recording music. They have a nice even sound that's pleasing and not harsh. Wearing them for extended periods of time does not hurt my head.I feel like they could use slightly more low end but overall I'm happy with them. Wish I had bought another pair while they were on sale

Although wireless headphones are very popular now, wired headphones are still worth purchasing. The sound quality is excellent, and this pair of headphones is great for home use. They don't press on your ears, making them very comfortable. The overall weight is moderate, so you won't feel tired even after wearing them for a long time.

The cups are large in size and cover the ears completely, thereby making it comfortable to wear for long time. The sound quality is very good and details are crisp.

I had two pairs of AKG240's in the past and several other brands since. All between $100 and $200 a set. These cans sound as good or better. Very defined. Good response! A little lacking in bass (hence the 4 rating) but they make up for it in overall definition and uncoloured sound. I hope to enjoy these for years to come. Great product!

These headphones are terrific value. Their solid build means they are going to last – AKG bent the cable 80,000 times during production just to test longevity. The generous padding is nice and comfy, while the 3m cable provides enough play for listening comfortably at home. This is a classic studio headphone design, and while you could just about get away with wearing these out on the street, the long cable demonstrates that they're not made specifically for that purpose. The sound is pleasingly expansive, with a breadth and scale rarely found in the kind of headphones you'd normally see on the high street at this sort of price. They certainly come across as smooth, not to mention the controlled bass. The midrange isn't quite as clean as you would like, but for the money, these are amongst the best over-ear headphones if affordability is a factor.

The sound quality is good considering the price. They are comfortable and have a nice long jack cable. The manufacturing and quality control is poor. I noticed the sound cutting in and out on the right side first and later on the left. I opened them up and found that the assembler had made the soldered connections and left more than 1 cm of bare wire. This bare wire was periodically touched the opposite wire terminal causing a short circuit which cut the sound. I have included a photo showing the bare wire. I wonder how many pairs of these have been returned as a result of this poor workmanship.

I've been a long-time AKG fan, I've owned all sorts of headphones throughout the years but the K77's I bought about 10 years ago have exceeded my expectations for the price point that I've looked no further since. Unfortunately, one of the drivers stopped working eventually (or could be the cable, which can't be replaced).Immediately, I went to look for a newer AKG offer and the K120 seemed to be the best choice. Unfortunately, those cans sounded flat and blocked none of the ambient sound.Fortunately, these K72s were the other "Amazon's choice" and I absolutely love them. Supremely lightweight and comfortable, for a guy with large ears I can wear them on extended basis with no issues at all, very large cup. And the stretchable band has been improved significantly. Long cable for comfortable movement. The sound profile on these is fantastic. It is not the flat reference sound of the K120, these have a punch on both the bass and highs and respond excellently to EQ adjustments. They can be used for enjoying music just as much as producing it. Also the low resistance means I can turn the volume down to 25-30% on my PC and it would get as loud as standard reference cans at 80%.Build quality looks solid, despite it being all plastic. They're very flexible (and of course as mentioned comfortable). If you didn't know, one might assume they're worth $500 based on the sleek design.Absolutely love these, you can't go wrong, and here's to another 10 years.

Ottime cuffie, ottimo suono pulito senza essere alterato da bassi finti. Il suono rimane pulito e originale. Le uso per suonare la chitarra elettrica e mi permette di sentire tutti le frequenze.
