My little dog is relatively comfortable in the sling bag. But without a platform to settle on, she's just suspended in space and she doesn't like just hanging. It's a bit awkward right now to put her in the bag as she's not yet used to it and splays her legs to stay out of it, but she relaxeswhen she gets settled in. I like the bag, but my girl is a bit apprehensive of it. She'd rather be carried like a trophy.

This could benefit from a solid bottom. My little chihuahua was very squished. It was too big for a 4 lb dog.

Product as described. My dog is 13 pounds and he fits easily. Only problem is I can’t figure out how to attach colour clip. Denim is a very light denim colour.RESPONDING TO COREY: this bag is much too big for a teacup poodle

This review is hard for me to write because I bought this sling just a month before my 15-year-old mini wire daschund Sophie passed away, or had to be suddenly put down. It was great for carrying her around the house 'hands free' and it totally allowed me to bond even more with her during what would become the last weeks of her life. Sophie had developed age-related dementia that had worsened in the last 6 months and which caused her to wander nervously and continuously around the apt, getting 'stuck' in corners or under tables and chairs. I had to watch her like a crawling baby who could wander into danger at all times. Once in the sling, Sophie would immediately quiet down and would comfortably watch as I puttered around the house or more often just doze buried in the bottom. I could snuggle Sophie into 2-3 different positions. She was less than 9 pounds when she passed away so she became tiny. A 'normal' mini of 11 pounds or so would still be able to get mostly fully enveloped in the bag, it's roomy and lightweight. The only design change I would make is a more comfortable metal ring. Sometimes it bore into my shoulder (when I was walking outdoors with Sophie for errands) so I would try to keep the metal ring side of the strap down instead of up at my shoulder. I only wish I had found this sling months ago. It would have saved Sophie a lot of emotional distress as she was reacting to her dementia and when I couldn't always just hold her in my bare arms while trying to work or clean etc. I'm just glad we had that last month together. I even used the sling to sneak her into work (overnight shifts when no one else was there) and we got bast the lobby guards just fine. I could type at my desk or answer phones while she slept and it was clear to me she was more comfortable in the sling than if I had left her on her makeshift bed next my desk where she would just walk away and make nervous noises as if she were 'lost'. I loved this sling.

Cute and convenient to carry, soft for my applehead chiuahah and she doesn't seem to mind. The clasp inside to clip to her harness is a very good feature as the bag had a huge opening and I'd worry she'd fall/jump out otherwise. Overall good buy!

I like the fact that this is adjustable. I bought a different one first but my pup was too low. I have a 6lb Yorkiepoo, we started using this at 3.5lb and worked great throughout her growth. She seems really happy and comfortable in this.

Love that this is adjustable. It is very well made and suits our needs perfectly (six pound senior chihuahuas). Bought a second one after trying out the first to make sure it would work. Would definitely recommend.

I bought this because my dog is a cuddler he loves to be on you when you're sitting on the couch or jump on your legs and want to feel tall if you're cooking or standing around talking in the kitchen but most of all he is a shy and nervous baby? Whenever someone comes to the door like a delivery person I always have to hold him and take the packages at the same time or sign for the packages and it's kind of hard to do because if I don't hold him then he'll we run out and yip at their feet and I don't want to take the chance of them reaching for him and him not being in the mood for it that day. Also- he has back problems from time to time and moving him to the vet in that condition is pretty hard- filling this with blankets and moving him this way seems better.I really decided to go with this one after seeing another person post photos of a 45 pound dog compared to their 15 pound dog and I figured it could hold his weight which I was really happy for as other options normally keep the weight Under 12 lb, this one included - until I looked into the comments and saw the reviews.Good and the bad:It can definitely hold his 15 lb but he doesn't look entirely comfortable.. the material, if you ask me, is kind of thin... I was worried that I wouldn't be able to use it because I live in Florida and we're kind of hot all the time but looking at it if I was, say, riding a bike or something I don't think he'd be too bothered by it. Although, I don't think I would use it outside just because there dosnt seem to be alot of wiggle room for him. If he decided to struggle even a little he'd probably go tumblung out. So keep that in mind if you have a mini doxie on the larger end such as myself. I'd highly recomend this for super small doggos tho such a toy or mini varieties. Its very comfortable to wear and the jean will match most things if you care about how you look xDIt rests on my proper waist but for reference I am 5'5. The straps ARE adjustable but its not padded so theres that. If you carry a heavy messenger bag you know what mean >.>Anyways besides the joking my housemates will give me when I get home I'm pretty happy with it.

I really like this sling. I have an 11 pound Yorkie who is an anxious traveller and doesn't like to be stuffed head first into a carrier. She got used to this sling very quickly and was quite content to be carried around in it. It's deep enough to hold her in and still have her head peaking out. I bought this particular one, even though it was a bit more expensive than other similar ones, because i liked the adjustable strap, and i think it was worth it. I can adjust it to fit over bulky clothes or for my partner to carry her. The ring can be uncomfortable if not well placed on your body but i just used the extra fabric from the strap to wrap around it and it felt fine.It was made with comfortable cotton, and soft denim inside. It looks good and is well made.

Solid.I have a Mini Pin Puppy and was worried about him getting worn out on some up coming hikes/walks so I looked for a way to carry him when that happens. Started with the Outward Hound front facing dog carry - when he was 7 pounds, and he out grew it in 3 weeks - he's now 10 pounds. After doing a lot more research, I ended up on the grey adjustable Alfie 2.0. When it arrived I went to get him and put him in, and he jumped in on his own and decided it was nap time. Carried him around for a while before finally setting it and him on his bed where he's still sleeping as I write this review (his contribution to the review).Anyway what I think you need to know is the following:1) I'm 6'1" and the sling adjust fine to my height. I can wear it low where it's on my hip with him, or adjust it higher where it's more comfortable for both of us.2) The material is soft like a sweat shirt, and the seems and construction seem solid. Its comfortable and wide on the shoulder distributing the weight well.3) The brown dog 10 pounds, 14" long collar to base of tail, and 12" tall Pin Pin mix gets lost in it (which he likes, he's a burrower), so I'll probably add a towel or fleece blanket to it eat some of the volume. This is a bonus actually since I'll be able to take it out and fold it up and use it for the Place command which he's already trained on.4) I also have a black 19 pound, 17" Dachshund mix who fits no problem (he's less cool with it, but accepting. I suspect as he ages out, he's 11+ years old plus now, I'll appreciate it more).

Although it is a very well-made product, the strap portion is MUCH TOO WIDE for a small dog. It literally blocks his view of anything, gets in the way of his head, and blocks my own view of him! The super-wide strap on this bag is long enough for a person who is 8 feet tall, so when I adjusted it for my 5'5" self, there is a loooong legth of it hanging behind me. It's as wide & thick as a big winter scarf! The strap needs to be tapered much thinner starting close to the bag. The whole item takes up as much room to store as a folded adult large winter sweatshirt. The material is that of a good quality sweatshirt. It is very well-made, but MUCH too large for a small pet under 10 lbs. I will keep it, but only to avoid the hassle of returning. Hopefully I will be able to give it to someone who has a larger pet who won't get lost & squished in there. *I would ask the manufacturer to sew a hard plastic bottom liner into the bottom of this bag. They could leave one end unsewn so we could remove the hard plastic liner before washing the bag. At least a hard plastic liner would provide a stable base for our small pets to sit or lay on. But, since there is no hard plastic liner provided, my 5 lb little dog (although 13" long in body & head) just gets lost & squished in this bag. (and again there is the issue with the much-too-wide strap blocking my & his view) It is clearly a very well made item (not a cheap piece of junk), but it has design flaws that really do need to be addressed.

When I first got it, it turned my half white dogs feet blue. But it's stains from the denim. After washing problem solved. The reason it has such a low score is because it's uncomfortable to wear. To keep my dog close I have to pull the straps in tight and its had to get a leveled bag without the metal rings digging into your chest shoulder it back. You also can't wear this on your side. My dog is about 10lb and putting him at my side is hard. The bag will either swing towards the back or front with the dogs weight.Eventhough keeping the bag infront of me is not a problem if the bag is to low. It rubs against my legs and hits causing the bag to shake and move a lot where my first problem comes in.It was nice when he was 5lb but now that's he's doubled in size it's to much weight for my shoulder and neck.I will not recommend.

In the photo Cubby is in the sling with the cat, Riblet, who is actually bigger than she is.I have had this sling for basically as long as I have had my little pooch (4 months). "Cubby" is a full size dachshund/yorkie mix at 8.5 lbs - a Dorkie - and fits perfectly in there, unless she is getting restless and wants to get out. 😉 Cubby is a rescue and has all sorts of anxieties with people and other dogs but when she is in her little kangaroo pouch, she is as calm and gentle as can be. I try to take her everywhere with me (she's an emotional support dog), except for the gym, and at least half the time she goes unnoticed, especially in the grocery store, although all the staff there loves her. I am constantly being asked where I got the sling and, of course, I point them in the right direction.Lastly, I have to say that I have a very bad neck and back (I had disc replacement within 2 weeks of getting the dog and I have had 2 spinal fusions in my lower back) and carrying her in her sling doesn't seem to bother me much. I just put her on the shoulder that is stronger and not painful.** Side Note: I do have to say that when I ordered my first sling it said that it would be adjustable, which I was excited about. Well, the very first thing I noticed when I got it was that it was NOT adjustable. Still a bit annoyed with that because that's what I paid for. Grrrrr. Even though that's the case, I am still purchasing a second one and hoping I get the adjustable one. If it comes without it, I will make a stink.
