I was excited to review this Amacool mini portable waist fan, marking my second encounter with this brand. The first product - a dual-motor powerhouse - knocked it out of the park with top-tier features and earned my enthusiastic five-star rating.Now, I’m checking out its budget-friendly sibling, and while it’s a single-motor model, it still brings impressive perks to the table.What I like:• Single motor hitting 13,000 RPM – Don’t let the budget label fool you. This little unit delivers solid cooling power with four-speed settings, making it the perfect summer sidekick for indoor and outdoor activities.• Decent 5000mAh battery – Lasts a full day at work, keeping airflow circulation steady, even on the lower settings.• Silicone case – A standout feature for this price range! Adds extra bump-and-drop protection, making it more durable than most budget models.• LCD display – Shows real-time battery status while charging and during use, so no unexpected power outages mid-chill session.• Covered charging port – Keeps dust and debris at bay, unlike the exposed ports found on most single-motor fans.• Tactile buttons – Nicely responsive and easy to use, eliminating any frustrating fumbling.A couple of caveats:1. Noise levels – At max speed, it gets loud - but hey, strong airflow comes at a cost.2. Rigid clips – They take a little getting used to. The upside? A stable hold while you're on the move. The build quality is impressive! Smooth rubberized coating, detachable adjustable next strap, 1 long metal clip with a stand and a smaller metal clip. The stand on the longer clip is narrow but does the job. The smaller clip is very stiff and it tool a fair bit of effort to open it enough to get over a belt. The fan weighs just under 9 oz so having the wider strap helps.There is a USB-C input port & a USB-A output port with a removable ( but still attached) dust cover and a 3 Ft charging cord is included. Having a back up battery (5000 mAh at full charge) for recharging a device is something I haven't seen on other fans I've reviewed and I think is a great addition.The bright display shows percentage of battery left and will indicate which speed you are on. It does stay on while the fan is in operation so if you're using it at night a little piece of electrical tape over it would block it off.Charge Time from 0% to 100% - 3.5 HrsThis thing is loud. Other fans of this type were similar so it's not limited to the Amacool. It would work great for a white noise machine at night and if using it outside art wouldn't be a huge bother. I did a test at 3 feet away for breeze strength, decibels and run time:Speed 1 - light breeze, 47 dB, 21.5 hoursSpeed 4 - very strong breeze, 64 dB, 3.5 hoursIf you're looking for some summertime relief and can deal with the noise level this is a solid investment.

My daughter requested this. She is a server / bartender at a local pub, and during the summer they have a busy patio season. It gets hot out there, and she wanted to try this to see if it would help keep her relatively cool.Of course after ordering it, its the rainy season part two, but just from using it around the house she likes it. Believes it will help. Powerful, easy to clip on.

I like this fan a lot more than I thought I would!I have two other fans just like this one, but they’re from a different brand. This fan has four speeds and the fourth speed blows pretty hard. In the video I said that it’s not very loud but when I compared it side-by-side with the other two fans that I have, it turns out that this one is actually quite a bit louder than the other two.For me it’s not a big deal because I’ll be using it ant my sons track meets and other outside events. Theres already lots of noise at events so it’s not really gonna be a factor.But if you’re using it somewhere that has to be a little more quiet, you’ll have to listen to my video and see if that noise level is gonna be a problem for you.What I like about this one besides the fact that it’s small and powerful is that it has a nice soft rubber coating on the outside. It just makes it a whole different experience to hold it in your hand. It feels much nicer. It’s also pretty lightweight so it’s convenient to wear it around your neck when you’re out walking or doing your activities outdoors.I haven’t fully tested the battery life yet but in my experience, these fans get somewhere between 4 and 24 hours of battery life. I plant to use it during the hottest part of the day while at my son‘s track meets and I’m thinking I’ll probably get somewhere between 4 to 6 hours out of it at top speeds. If it falls short compared to the other fans, I will come back and update the review.Would I buy it again?Yes. I wish it was a bit more quiet but it’s powerful so noise sometimes comes with the territory. It’s the best in terms of how it looks and feels - and it functions just like the others I have so it’s a solid choice. You’ll be happy with the purchase for sure.
