AMACOOL Portable Waist Fan, 10000RPM... it works great once you get the hang of it. hanging it around your neck it works pretty good, holding it, andor on the solid surface. under the clothes, need 2 for both sides, but if the bottom becomes vent becomes covered it ceases to be useful. the ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the instructions were basically in micro print and it doesn't work as well UNDER the clothes. but is WORTH the $35 odd dollars I paid for it... 5 speeds, adjustable vent, stand for "table-top" use, "necklace" strap for hanging around you neck... you cannot go wrong with this purchase (I have plans to buy another one)

it does what it says. I also bought the square more expensive one that blows harder but this one is going over my van visor so I didn't need as much velocity. It is also a cheaper plastic feeling but all and all it will work fine. If your going to be beating it up on a Mike Rowe job invest in the more expensive one.I bought the better one to use while we didn't have power for the 2 Florida hurricanes and it kept the sweating down a lot. That is why I am buying a second one.

Looks sturdy and durable for its intended purpose. Made of hard plastic. Quite heavy but is probably due to the battery. The contour design is humanized to the contour of our body, specifically the waist area.Very intuitive with just one button to toggle you from 1-5 settings. 11000 rpm maximum speed at 15 feet/sec. Gives out strong winds with its 5 speed setting. It will of course give out a whirring sound to but is tolerable.Basic LED which shows speed (for a few sec) the battery percentage. Also shows you when charging signified by a green icon.Powered by a USB C rechargeable 4000 mAh battery that charges under 3 hours. Claims can last up to 20 hours. Hard to ascertain since i use this sparingly and this claim is probably using the lowest setting. Works while charging.The clips are made of manganese steel. I like how the concave part of the fan has the clip facing downward (to clip on your waist), while the convex part has the clip facing upward (to clip to your top’s hem). In this way, the hem of your top will not be sucked in to the air intake of the fan, causing decrease velocity. The former also has a small folding stand if you wish to use it on your desk, etc.Came with a lanyard, a neck strap, and a charging cable. Not a fan (pardon the pun), but good to know it’s there so you can hang it around your neck.Overall, this is a great way to cool down without fanning yourself manually and prevents your top from getting wet with perspiration. Very timely for the summer.

- This has to be the best portable fan so far for me. I have used mini fans to various neck fans and have to say this is the best cooling option there is on a hot humid summer day. Even on days where there is no wind at all. There are a few ways you can use this fan. There is a flip on a clip where you can place it at an angle on a table. Then there is a lanyard which you can connect to hang on the neck to have the air flow from your stomach towards the bottom of your neck. But the best way to use it, and I think it’s designed that way, is to clip this to your belt. Note that the clip is not designed to clip directly onto the pants as it may dig in or cause a bit of discomfort when worn. So the best way is to attach it to your belt. And because it’s rounded, the best is to clip on the side.The inlet vents in on the bottom and it draws air from there to push it out on the top. What’s great about this design is that it has another clip on the other side, but upside down. This is designed so that you can clip your shirt on it. This way the shirt would not drape over the fan and cover the bottom vent which needed to be open to draw air in. I find that it works best if you have your shirt tucked all around. This gets the air to ventilate better underneath the shirt.There are 5 fan levels. The first one is relatively quiet in terms of noise and vibrations. And so you may not even notice that it’s on. There is only 1 button. You cycle through 5 airspeeds and then OFF. If using indoors and it’s quiet, you can definitely hear the fan going. But in an outside or noisy environment, you can’t really hear it. There is an LED screen to tell you what airspeed you are using and also the battery percentage level. I really like the battery % level as I know when I need to recharge it. Recharge is via usb-c.I tested using it on a hot humid day. Normally with neck fans, it wouldn’t work well because the neck fan only blows hot air onto your neck and face, and the weight of the fan will bother you after prolonged use. But for this fan, it’s awesome. I have it on the side with my shirt tucked in. Only the portion of the fan I have the shirt outside and nicely tuck on the clip. The fan blows the air underneath the shirt and it cools the body down nicely. On a humid day, when the body is sweating, just turn this on and you have instant cooling. Because it cools the body, it’s much better than a neck fan or any portable mini fans that I’ve tried. It’s the best one yet.

I received this product through the Amazon Vine program.The AMACOOL Portable Waist Fan is an excellent product. It combines a high speed mini fan and a rechargeable lithium battery in a tough plastic housing. There are 5 speed settings and you can feel air movement up to 6'/1.8m away on the lowest setting and 12'/3.6m away at the highest. The battery takes about 2hrs to recharge from empty to full and draws about 8 watts. They do not include a charger in the kit, but any USB charger should work with this device. It does comes with a USB A to USB C cable. The fan can operate and charge at the same time, which is a very good feature. In my testing I had run times of 4.5hrs on the highest setting and 16hrs on the lowest. This is a perfectly acceptable performance in my opinion for such a small device, but it is less than claimed. The battery may need a few charging cycles to get to full capacity as I was also able to get a full charge in less time then claimed. I have found this is a common occurrence with lithium batteries. The kit also includes a lanyard for you neck and a foldout stand. There are metal spring clips on each side that can attach to your belt or other mounting points up to about .39"/1cm thick. I tried it on the sun visor in my car and it worked very good. I plan to use this fan extensively as I prefer this form of cooling. Fans can be very useful when sitting outside as bugs don't seem to bother you as much.Overall, I am very happy with this product. It performs very well and is solidly built. It is worthy of a 5 star rating.

I live in Florida and work outside and this saved me this summer. I never even put it on four or five except a couple of times. Loved it so much. I bought a second one so I always had a charged one with me. And the charged lasted all day+ if it was on level two.

If you over heat this is a great fan! Still have to pull your hair back and less likely to get your hair caught in the fan. 5 speeds and great quality!
