Talos Spotting Scope
We designed the Talos family of spotting scopes with good optical quality and ease of use in mind. The Talos spotting scope features our fully multi-coated lenses and K9 prisms with silver coating. They bring great clarity and brightness within the reach of all enthusiasts. The light-weight composite chassis is fog proof, waterproof, and filled with nitrogen gas to prevent internal fogging and promote better thermal stability. The product comes with a table-top tripod and soft case allowing you to carry the spotting scope and tripod in one package.

I needed a low cost spotting scope for the rifle range. This filled the need very well. Light weight and easy to carry. I use it all the time.

I needed something for out to 300 yards max. So far I have only used it at 100 and 200 yds, (The longest range available within a reasonable distance).The glass is clear, the focus easily adjusted, and for the price, the light gathering is more than acceptable. My old eyes had no problems picking out 30 caliber holes on a splatter target at 200yds. (I just wish the grouping had been tighter :) )The tripod is kind of weak, but again, can't expect better for this price.

I’m very impressed with the glass clarity at 60x with such a cheap optic. Historically, you get what you pay for with optics, however, this has surprised me very much. Got it for a Colorado Elk hunt but really didn’t have the funds to drop 1k+ on a high end one. I can very clearly read the numbers on a lightbox at the end of my road that I ranged at 430 yards. That far exceeds anything I expected from a sub $200 spotting scope.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from this scope, especially for the price but..... At 100 yards 223 bullet holes are easily seen, at 300 yards with golf tees in the target, excellent clarity and at last 600 yards, golf tees with a star type top I can see the golf tee stars perfectly. I'm pretty sure there is't a spotting scope made that to can see 223 bullet holes in a bullseye target at 300+ yards made, maybe in the white part of the target you might see them. Again at 600 yards I was able to clearly see blades of tall grass and the star top of the golf tee at top magnification and surprisingly clear. I suppose like all optical products made there may be a wide spectrum of clarity and quality. I am extremely picky about spotting scopes and rifle scopes in general, this Athlon scope was a pleasant surprise and very low cost for the such good quality.
