Bought this to replace a Fellowes shredder that died. Had it working in under a minute. Immediately I noticed how much faster it is than my old shredder--at least twice as fast. Also, unlike my old shredder, the cutter assembly does not clog with bits of shredded paper. The bin is a bit on the small side, but it is easy to see how much paper is in it--and unlike my old shredder there are no "hanging chads" to fall to the floor when you lift the shredder from the bin. The cut strips are fairly large, making it unsuitable for "three letter" government agencies, military contractors or the truly paranoid, but it is great for most users.

Important Note: This shredder is a USA version and only operates with 120V electricity. If you are in a country with 220/240V, you will need a converter to bring the voltage down to 120V.Some customers have given this product one-star reviews because it didn't work or smoked when they plugged it into a 220V/240V outlet. This is understandable, as the shredder is not designed for that voltage!I use a 500W converter with this shredder, but a smaller one should also be sufficient (refer to the shredder's label: 120V and 1.2A - you can do the math ;-)What I like about the shredder:- Works well and shreds reasonably fast.- Can handle 8 pages at a time (as advertised).- Stops automatically when the paper bin is full.- Has an overheating warning light, but it hasn't overheated yet- Compact paper bin, suitable for a home office.- If you want to use a larger bin you can pull out a handle on the right side for additional 10cm.- Sturdy build for the price.- Clear, simple lubrication instructions.

Less noisy than my Previous Staples shredder. Steady power if you put more paper in the shredder. I don’t like that it shreds the paper in long strips rather than small pieces. Confidentiality could be an issue.

I used the shredder for household items which I thought had confidential information on.It will shred more than two or three papers at a time as well as any staples.It runs quietly and is quite fast.

No issues with this shredder. I had 3 garbage bags to shred and this product took care of it. Of course after almost an hour it over heated and needed to rest but that's a feature ALL shredders have. I like the extension rack which allows me to get a bigger bin if needed. I also like that when you empty the shredder you don't have to worry about cutting your fingers as the blades are not exposed like other older shredders are.

This paper shredder is of excellent quality,style and performance. It was packaged great,arrived without any damage and works excellent. It isn't thin plastic but it is durable and so is the basket. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who needs a paper shredder and this company. It shreds quickly and isn't noisy. Thank you

I’ve returned so many shredders in the past but this one is a Keeper. Great for home office use. Just received it and couldn’t wait to start shredding. Did a great job. Filled a huge recycling bag just in time for recycling collection .

Always annoys me when you buy something in the uk that arrives with a foreign plug (US). I ordered an adapter and plugged it in to use it for the first time. It wry nearly caught fire on first use. Smoke coming out of the motor and an acrid plastic burning smell. Horrendous. Have returned it.

Although offered to customers outside of U.S. there is no indication that it does not work with 220/240 V. Supplier offered unconditional return. I have regular access to a voltage converter so I did not return it.The machine cut through all my types of CD, DVD or Blue Ray. I have shredded a few hundred. For that it deserves 5 stars. But minus 1 star for not telling its voltage restriction.

Muy buen producto y llegó a tiempo. No tengo queja y para lo que dicen que ojalá y el bote fuera más grande entonces no sería apto para oficina y costaría más. Es cómodo para mover y funciona muy bien. Se puede adecuar a otro botes más grandes, trae como un extensor.
