This grip tape 2 pack is great for general purpose applications. I used some in my home gym to add some grip to a couple of things. The tape peels off the backing easily, and has a good amount of stretch to it. It does get thinner on stretching, so I wouldnt overdo it though. The backing has a nice grid on it to help you get an even cut, which is a handy feature. Its very sticky and has so far held onto the metaland powder coated surfaces that I applied it to. I grip and pull on them multiple times a week, and the tape is still going strong. Would definitely recommend!

Bought grip tape for gym equipment as mentioned in spec.Came as 2 pack unbranded black rolls . Its stretchy porous and made of cloth like material and it sticks easily on handle bars and provides reasonably good grip.I tried pasting over while rolling up and adhesion works well. Does not seem to leave any residue while I remove/repasted to get it in place.Unfortunately specs are inconsistent , dont know if its 16.5 ft or 65 ft feet long both mentioned in spec so if its value buy or a steal cant say.My concerns with cloth like material besides bacterial growth from sweat , it could get sticky , loose adhesion with garage heat. Have seen these problems with medical self-adhesive bandages (similar material).Well It works well so far and feels good during hold. Will revisit if I see any such concerns.

Excellent grip tape. Used on a service weapon for some better tactile control. Although this is thin, it's fabric, make sure to cut with a blade of some sort, preferably scissors. The fabric, though not grippy, has the increased surface texture, giving a much better sense of control. I'll be using this on some of my slippy hand tools as well.

I use this tape for my pull-up bar, which is part of my squat cage and is smooth steel. This tape is not as thick as the previous tape I had used, but it went on cleanly and seems to be holding well. I overlap each layer and then put an extra short piece on the starting and ending positions, just to help things stay on.I also used this to soften the aggressive knurling on my hex squat bar -- here the relative thinness of this tape was actually a benefit. It slipped into the knurling without completely eliminating it. Now the bar is not nearly so painful to grip, but hasn't lost all of the purpose of the knurling. There is a decent amount of tape here as well, and it seems to be on par with the more expensive name brands that I was using in the past, so I recommend it. It will definitely improve your grip on smooth bars, as well as keeping perspiration from causing you to lose your grip.

All the grip tape I've ever seen, is more like a low grit sandpaper with sticky on the back. This stuff is more like medical gauze or the stuff you wrap around your arm for support. One of the picture panels on the amazon listing says it's made of “non-stretch polyester cotton”?. That's almost all wrong.I guess it has some non-slip properties, but it's more like thin cloth that happens to give a little grip. It's really thin stuff almost like nylons. It even stretches like nylons, and you can see through it like nylons too. It does have a pleasant soft feel to it. There is also a light ruff texture that provides some grip.It would be good for wieght lifters. and when using exercising equipment, because it would keep your sweaty hands dry, providing a better grip in that way. I think that's more of what it's made for, rather than a general grip tape.It sticks on like painter's tape - not very sticky and easy to remove. It took almost half a roll to wrap about 8”/20cm of a cane. I've upped a photo. In the photo the thick part of the cane is foam. There's only 2 thin layers of the grip tape holding the foam on. It did work great on the cane though, providing a nice soft grip. I liked it.Overall. I think it has it's uses, it is not like regular grip tape. It feels nice and soft, not very rough. If you're a weight lifter or need your hands to feel dry when you're sweating, it's perfect. It would be great on something like lawn mower handles or a tennis racket handle for instance.Overall, it's nice for keeping dry hands when working. Allows some air flow provides a drier suface and a little grip too.
