Lathe files are difficult to find and usually wildly overpriced even if from a maker that has sold out overseas. Bahco files haven't and are good and these look as good as other Bahco files I've used. These were reasonably priced when I got them ($30CAD which was nearly half the price of "brand name" imports). I ordered four, but one obviously came used.

Good tools are expensive, but in files, you get what you pay for. Light years ahead of Nichelson.Well done Bacho!

The cutting angle on this file is well suited for working on a metal lathe. Also leaves a clean edge when dressing HSS cutters.

Heard about lathe files on a YouTube video, I’ve used hundreds of files in my life and many on a metal lathe, but nothing compared to this file the angle is perfect, there’s no teeth on the edge so you don’t damage the shoulders of Parts, and it cut really really good very good quality I would buy this again.

Where has this file been all my life? Works much better on the lathe than the short angle smooth cut file I've used for years. I have many old made in the USA Nicholsons some of which need replacing, I'll probably go with Bahco since Nicholson appears to have sold out on quality.
