My 10 year old niece is fascinated by rocks and has a small collection. She is thrilled with this charcoal colored wooden box lined with felt-covered dividers. The hinged plexi-glass lid allows the pretty rocks inside to be visible even when lid is closed. A wonderful box! The dividers are only 1 inch square and 1 inch deep; so the box will hold only small rocks.

Before purchasing, I read the review and question sections. One of my questions didn't have a clear answer. The question was in reference to the dividers and if they were removable. The answers were 50/50 on yes and no. I ordered one and I now have a definite answer for everyone.You will notice in my photos, the dividers are removable, you can remove all or some to create larger areas. But two things to keep in mind: 1) the cutouts for attaching each row together is a tan color. A Sharpie should take care of this. 2) if you remove too many dividers, you'll lose stability of each section. The strength lies in how many sections you create.For the money, I think overall this is a good product. I think the top is glass, or so it appears to be. The reason I gave 4 stars on stability: the ribbon on the left of the box that keeps the lid from falling all the way open could be just a tad longer. It doesn't take much for the lid to close.
