I bought this to replace my old B&D finishing sander I purchased in the mid-80s. This is almost identical despite the passing of 35+ years. I use it for the odd project requiring the sanding of mostly flat surfaces and have done so already with the new sander. It worked like a charm. The price is very reasonable.

Considering the price this little 1/3 sheet sander works well. The housing body is made from a plastic material. As per a few other reviews the clips are not 100%tight so the paper will occasionally slip out. Had a couple small sanding projects to do and didn’t want to invest a lot of money into a sander, if your needing one for many jobs I might consider investing a little more. This one is definitely worth it for what I needed.

This sander is excellent for minor sanding jobs, but not for large jobs like sanding a fence or a patio deck.

I like the ease of use for the buttons to turn it on and off.It has already started to be unstable, it tends to vibrate now.Also, 1 month after I have bought it, the sand paper does not stay in place, after less then a minute it looks like this and I have to reposition it, see photo.What is up B and D ?My 1st one lasted 30 years, this one 30 days.See photo of 1st B and D
