My 12 year old is really in to brain teasers and puzzles so this was perfect for him. Decent quality puzzles and none overly difficult. Good value and good fun!

Review for: "Brain Teaser Advent Calendar 2024 for Kids - 24 Days of Christmas Countdown Calendar With 3D Metal, Wooden and Plastic Puzzle Toys-Mind, IQ, Logic Test and Handheld Disentanglement Games For Boys Girls Teens Adults Challenge"Brand: VOLINFOFirst look: The Brain Teaser Advent Calendar is a box (30.5 cm x 26.1 cm x 4.5 cm) with perforated numbers on the front and plastic inside with compartments for various puzzles.I received 6 wooden puzzles, 6 marble puzzles, 6 plastic puzzles of different shapes, 6 wire puzzles, a rounded cube-type keychain, and a larger cube-shaped marble puzzle. There are actually 26 pieces in 24 spots.Testing: On two of the marble games, the plastic (red & yellow) piece weren't down far enough to get the marbles in properly, so I ended up shaking it a bit until those pieces fell to the bottom. You can see which ones are supposed to be raised because they have feet but three of them should be right on the bottom. The cube marble puzzle has the marble in the centre and it only comes out one hole (I think one of the yellow sides). Once out, you need to make it go through the maze without falling into the holes. When it gets to the correct spot along the edge, it will fall onto the next side's puzzle. Try to get it through all six mazes before falling into the centre again, or you have to start over.Opinion: There is a nice variety of different types of puzzles for kids to open each day of December, from the 1st to the 24th. The calendar could be reused if you don't perforate the cardboard on the front, but that defeats the purpose of the advent calendar.I found some of the puzzles are pretty tight in their compartments, so would likely not come out the front holes very easily, especially since the holes are smaller than the compartments. It may be necessary to find the appropriate number, then pull the corresponding puzzle out of the plastic by opening up the box. It would probably be better if the plastic compartments were made for these particular sizes of puzzles.Overall, it's a fun gift for a puzzle lover.

Each teaser is a perfect small puzzle. Like magic rings, or slide boxes. Well perforated boxes. The last day has multiple pieces. Fantastic advent gift for someone who needs to fiddle/fidget but stay sharp.

I use reusable advent calendars for my kids each year, filling half of the compartments with chocolate, and the other half with a small toy. Last year, the kids loved the tilt puzzles that my husband got them, so when I saw this puzzle themed advent calendar, I thought it would be the perfect thing to use for their calendars this year. After I got this calendar, I realized I should’ve thought about the size of the puzzles because some of them are too large to fit in the compartments! Fortunately, this turned out to be a “if life hands you a lemon, make lemonade” situation. For all the puzzles that are too large to fit, I’m going to wrap each one with a little bit of wrapping paper to disguise the shape, and place them all into a cloth gift bag. When the kids open up a compartment for one of those toys, there will be a paper that reads “Choose a mystery toy!”, and they’ll get to pull one from the bag. My kids are going to love that, so it worked out even better than I had planned! 😊You can open each door at a time, or open the side of the box and remove the entire tray containing the puzzles. I opened up several of the doors just to see how they worked. I found that some of the larger puzzles were a bit difficult to remove from the compartment, so a child may need a bit of help with those.I like these types of puzzle games myself, so I tested several of them out. They aren’t the highest quality I’ve ever seen, but they‘re fun and they work. The tilt and wooden puzzles are definitely the best. The rest are various brain teasers and plastic 3D puzzles with varying degrees of difficulty. I’ll be honest, I couldn’t figure out some of the metal ones even with the instructions. Looking at the entire collection of puzzles, I think they’re suitable for ages 7+.Overall, I’m really happy with these puzzles, and I know the kids will enjoy them. Thanks for reading! I hope this was helpful. 😊

Great advent calendar for an older child. Perfect for giving when you don't want to give out a chocolate every day. The items are well made and perfect for older kids.

Advent calendars help heighten anticipation to a special event, like Christmas. This one in particular is filled with different kinds of brain teasers. So every time a little door opens, we get one day closer to Christmas. And every door hides a little toy puzzle or brain teaser, a project to work on to help pass the time.
