HOW TO CHECK IF YOU NEED THIS TOOL OR NOT
- 1. You will do some brake jobs.
- 2. Your disc brake system has twin, quad and sextuplet pistons fixed calipers, or single and twin pistons floating calipers.
- 3. Your caliper pistons do not require being turned when pressing them back.
- 4. The spreader can expand from 1-1/2" to 2-1/2" for 2PCS small spreader plates, and 2" to 3" when adding 2PCS big spreader plates. If your caliper is wider, you can use old pads to lay across and then use this to push pistons back in.
- 5. You want to save your time and effort, and protect your piston from a block of wood or a C clamp.

The theory behind this ratchet is great. The wrench does work great opening the caliper. The problem I found was trying to attach the larger metal pieces to the wrench. These larger pieces open the bigger caliper where wider metal plates fit onto the wrench smaller plates, and open two pistons instead of one piston. One piston only needs the wrench with smaller plates on the wrench. This smaller plate part is actually part of the wrench and works fine. The larger plates fall off the smaller plates as you place the wrench inside the caliper. It needs smaller earth magnets to hold the plates together. If you don't need the larger plates in place for two piston calipers, you'll like the wrench. Or get a couple of small earth magnets and enjoy opening larger calipers as well.

Other than the ratchet mechanism, the tool is fine, but the ratchet mechanism truly matters in a tool like this. The ratchet is weak, it skips and I needed to hold the switch in place to use the tool. When you’re dealing with a 6 piston caliper on a solid brake like, you don’t have an extra hand to hold the ratchet switch in place. Disappointed by the quality.

The tool worked but I believe other designs are superior to it. It did not fit in some/ most calipers until I used a different tool to make room for this tool.

This tool is the best piston compressor I’ve used. Used this tool to do front and rear brakes on a 2010 F150, front and rear brakes on a 2019 Toyota Tundra, front brakes on a 2013 Mitsubishi RVR, and front brakes on a 2010 Ford Focus. Very simple to use, and it seems to work well on multiple vehicles so far.

Not practicle or i received a damaged one !i must hold the center spacer to have the rachet work or else it wont rachet tight or un rachet !!!this goes against the purpose if this being practicle, cause i must stick my finger to hold the spacer when trying to rachet the caliper back in.....a total waste of money !!!

This product works great. Easy to use and seems like good quality. Only thing, I did not get the caliper hanger brackets that it said it came with. Only got the tool.

Waste of 20 something dollars. It didn’t come with the hangers (the main reason I bought this) and the caliper press thing is a joke. 10/10 do not recommend
