About this item

  • This catalytic converter theft plate protects the plastic transmission oil pan, front driveshaft and exhaust components from damage. The plate is not just a functional off-road skid plate, it also acts as a theft deterrent device for your expensive catalytic converters. Our skid plate also replaces the factory felt cover that comes with your truck.
  • This Transmission Skid Plate fits for Ford F150 2009-2024. Also works with the F-150 Fx4 factory skid plates.
  • Our catalytic converter theft protection is made from aluminum. Vents to allow air to flow past exhaust and catalytic converters and bent sides help add strength.
  • Bolt in Installation is done with basic hand tools using factory mounts. No drilling or grinding required.
  • While you have any questions about our products, please feel free to contact us and we will provide the best service.

Catalytic Converter Shield Fits Ford F150 2009-2024. NOTE: Oil drain hole is optimized for the 5.0 engine and Ecoboost models. Will not fit with lift kits that modify the factory subframe. We highly recommend the Fumoto oil drain valve with the longer nipple for ease of oil changes or other brands of oil drain valves.

Really nice piece of aluminum. Appears water jet cut and is reasonably thick and sturdy. The hardware is nice stainless hardware too. As others have said, it is a bit difficult to tighten up the rear-most mount fasteners. I aligned and tightened down the mounts first and then I was able to slip a longer 19mm box wrench in to hold the nut in place on top of the skid plate. I really like how tight of tolerance the oil drain door is and the placement. I have a drain valve on my oil pan, so draining will be pretty simple. Would definitely recommend for the price.

GOOD, BUT. install was difficult. Back lines up properly. Front I think is to low. I am am going to reverse the angle brackets to be upward. so skid is up further. Plus now after install, I get a low RPM vibration. My son (Mechanic) mentioned to me to add rubber washers. Anti vibration washers.

Instructions were simple. The photos showing how to install were from a distance. The way it fits against the frame in back. It's nearly impossible to reach the nuts to tighten them. Wasn't overly impressed with this on a whole, but it'll do the job

Finally got around to installing this on my F150 and it fits just fine. As others have indicated I installed the mounting brackets and torqued them down prior to installing the shield. The front brackets were installed as high as possible, while the rears were installed as low as possible. The biggest problem is the driver side rear, in hindsight I would have cut out a small corner there to allow the 19mm or 3/4 wrench to go in from the side to allow tightening the nuts. As it was with a flexible magnet I was able to get the lock nuts in place and started and then by jamming the nuts with a big flat screwdriver I used my 1/4 inch 20 volt impact to tighten. In all I am pleased with the product and the installation went well except for that driver side rear which was a bit tough but as indicated a little trimming back there would have made a huge difference.
