Works very well for my Barebow event at 50 metres. Very clear optics. Highly sturdy body. Small and compact. Light weight so easy to move around.

This is a brilliant scope for bird watching or other nature watching, especially when hiking. Its actually easy to hold and use, but better on a monopod. Its really light and very bright. One thing to note, it does not work with the Celestron phone adaptor. Its not possible to get the phone flat with the Celestron adaptor and even if you do, you get a circular image in the middle of the screen, not a full image you can use for a photo.

Great optics; I wish it had more flexibility for a window mount - it is awkward to view.

Form factor is fantastic but I was otherwise underwhelmed from the very start. There is quite a bit of chromatic aberration even at low magnification, and at high magnification it was very difficult to achieve a sharp focus. I thought that my beginner (unspoiled by high end scopes) eyes would not notice this much. The construction of the body feels good but the eyepiece cover is so loose it's barely on, and constantly falls off. The bag quality is what you'd expect from the cheapest of knockoffs, except it's also too small to fit the scope into - seriously, it's insulting, and another thing that people weren't exaggerating about. Can't believe they didn't fix these issues in the years since the other reviews mentioning similar problems. It's probably decent value, but given that it's still a significant amount of money, I was expecting more. I thought the huge jump in price for products that are a step-up from it (like the Nikon ED50) simply represented the exponentially costlier top of the line, and that the Hummingbird would still be great but not incredible. Unfortunately it's good but not great either. I will go for considerably cheaper or considerably more expensive in the future, as this middle ground feels like an unjustifiable expense that leaves me wanting.

Surprisingly nice pocket spotting scope. I find it more versatile than a pair of binocular. At 7x you have the large field of view, and if the need be you can zoom in.At low power, it can be used hand-held ok. For higher mag, it shares a Pedco UltraPod 2 with the camera I often carryThe +It can (literally) fit in your pocket.it takes (readily available) 1.25” astro. eyepiecesimage quality is goodThe -eye relief is pretty tight when you get to max magnification, I seldom use it past +/- 18xyou'll need to re-focus as you change magnification (kind of common for zoom in that price range, and that big of a deal)the case that comes with it is of little useIf you "need" a sub-compact scope and you "need" to always use the scope at max power, you might be better served by buying a Nikon ED50 (but be prepared to spend 2x the $$) , or you might just as well go all out and buy a TSN-553

This is an amazingly compact spotting scope. The image definition is sharp and clear. It needs a lot of light to work well at full zoom, it only has a 50 mm objective lens after all. In bright conditions, however, images are well defined at maximum zoom. It is less good at full zoom when scanning the shadows, but I suppose that is inevitable given the small objective size. In fact it might have been better with a fixed magnification of say 20x as my ancient Kowa TS-501 seems to have better low light performance. Especially, as I cannot really see anyone using it at 7x magnification, most users will also have binoculars to cover that.

The price was right, about $75 cheaper than other dealers, in the world of 50mm ED scopes this is a great buy, no its not a Nikon or Pentax ED50 but its less than half the price, its well made and the optics are good and it fits in your pocket, my only complaint is the case, its well made but far too small, the scope will go in with a bit of effort but I can,t zip it up. I wasn,t expecting a lot with this scope but its surprised me.
