Can't really be detailed or flowery about this. It does what it's supposed to. Hold music. My daughter is in marching band, and she plays bass clarinet and clarinet. She has a lyre for the bass, now she has one for her standard clarinet.

This lyre seems great so far. Fits a student clarinet without issue, its all metal construction feels sturdy, and though the listing doesn't say what the protective coating is, it feels like silicone and is quite thick, so it should not damage the finish of the instrument. As long as it holds up to student use, I've got nothing bad to say about it.

This looks really nice, and holds my sheet music while I play my clarinet. I play as a hobby, but my eyesight isn't great, so it is helpful to have my music closer to my face. I have had to print my music with a bigger font, and trim it so the paper isn't wide. It works well for me.

The spring is strong, to hold the music, and the lyre does work to hold music on to a clarinet, but the design is not the best I have seen. Because of the size of the ring that connects the lyre to the clarinet, it will not fit between the upper and lower joints (an older, but very effective lyre design) instead, it has to fit around the bell, like in the picture. Unfortunately, the clarinet is not held like in the picture, but the positioning of the lyre is accurate. Because the lyre is positioned so far down the instrument, the music is harder to read - it is farther from the musician's eyes) and this lyre is harder to keep steady. So, in the end this music holder is functional, but I would prefer a better design.
