Your cart is empty.The Hawk positive drive synchronous belt has a 5 mm pitch, a 5M metric profile, is built by Continental ContiTech, and is suitable for drive applications where shaft synchronization is required, such as food processing equipment, farm machinery, machine tools, and packaging machinery. This universal tooth profile belt is a drop-in replacement belt that fits many standard-sized sprockets and uses standard industry parts numbers. Its molded-rubber compounded construction decreases flex fatigue for longer product life. The Hawk positive drive synchronous belt is constructed of a composite rubber that resists tooth deformity and ratcheting, and it is oil, heat, ozone, and abrasion resistant, making it suitable for use in rugged environments. Synchronous belts (also known as timing belts) have teeth on the underside of the belt that join with the grooves in a rotating pulley to transmit power at a constant speed without slippage. They are made of compounded rubber and are reinforced lengthwise with fiberglass cords for added strength. Got this continental belt to replace thee original on my wahoo kickr. Just installed and it is much much quieter. Time will tell if it lasts.

The OEM Gates belts on my KICKR smart trainer lasted 5 years (I’ve replaced it twice). This would be approximately 70,000 miles per belt. This Conti belt lasted 6 months - barely 10,000 miles. I’ll stick with Gates thank you.

I bought this belt 6 months ago to replace the original belt on my Wahoo KICKR, which had more than 25,000 virtual miles in it. It's a perfect fit and seemed to be ok for a while, until it suddenly snapped while I was doing a 650W interval standing on the pedals. No need to say that it was not a good experience and I will not be buying a Conti belt again. I'm going to find an original Gates belt instead.

after barely 5 month use, belt snapped, ordered new one today, hoping it works better, if not stay away from this product - somewhat disappointing since continental is actually a good name
