Used for a mini split installation. Worked great. Did a couple test runs just to get used to how much copper tube to expose for a full flar. Make sure and take time to line up the tool carefully before starting your flare. It can be slightly off and push the point of the flaring cone of to the side. There are fine notches to help you line it up, but the tool can slip out of them. It would be nice if it had better defined notches for seating, but as long as you pay attention, it flared perfect every time.

Arrived on time. Made a couple practice flares on 3/8 copper tube and seems very similar to a larger Ridgid model that I have with the eccentric flare cone and clutch to auto stop when flare is complete. I am happy with it.

Tool is very easy to use. No separate clamps, all in one. I really like that it disengages when the flair is complete. I used it to flare 5/8 M type copper, it worked extremely easy.I recommended it to my friend.

This tool is almost exactly like the more expensive custom made for Air Conditioner pro models. As long as you know how much extra copper to leave (a little over a 1/16th of an inch) it will flare the copper with the eccentric head and it even has a clutch to let you know when the flare is finished. That is what the most expensive models do - so you do not over-flare. Funny thing - they do not mention the clutch feature in the description.This is a 45-degree flare perfect for mini-split ACs. etc. Compare this to the $80 model from Yellow Jacket, it is almost identical.

Made a couple 3/4 and 3/8 flares as soon as I got the tool, they all turned out great. The clutch works well and the flaring block seems to be well machined.I don't make flares often, but this tool seems like it will service my professional needs well.It would be nice if it came with a case, but that's a small trade-off for the price.
