Not the weight it says. Quite a bit heavier. Just over 3 pounds

It’s great, bigger than expected, room for 6ft 180lb dad and 3 kiddos age 8, 6 and 3. Durable, and dries quick. Makes a ok but not great Mother’s Day present but it would probably work better if you wrap it and keep it a surprise.

I retired my traditional hammock after nearly 10 years of loyal service, and I was on the hunt for a replacement. While this hammock isn’t what I was looking for exactly, its versatility has made it an instant winner in my opinion.First off, let me say that for the price of this hammock, it is amazingly well constructed. I’m around 280 and at no time was I afraid of this hammock not supporting me. It was also quite comfortable, easily accommodating my size. It may be rated for 660 pounds, but I can’t say it would be as comfortable with two people my size unless you’re very fond of the other person.Build-wise, the triple stitching does an excellent job of holding this hammock together, preventing straining or stretching of the fabric. The mounting points are also heavily stitched, and this heavy-duty stitching is carried over to the tree strapping as well.If I was going to be critical of anything, it would be the gas station quality carabiners that came with the hammock. My money would be on them failing first and I immediately replaced them with some higher quality ones I had.Since it’s winter, I didn’t do much more than set the hammock up and try it out, but I’m eager to break it out more when the weather gets milder. Where I live, there is a lot of boreal forest and I love hiking. I’ll be bringing this lightweight hammock with me to enjoy some beautiful scenery along the way.Price-wise, you can’t beat this hammock. There are identical hammocks available for a higher price and I can’t find a discernable difference to warrant paying more. I highly recommend you try out this hammock from Toyven.

This is a great hammock and a great price at 28.99 currently. It's comfy, easy to setup and very light weight. You can easily pack it in to a backpack pocket. It folds down small. Seems well made and durable. Great for camping or throw it in the car and set it up along your travels. I would definitely buy it again.

We tried this using a hammock stand, not trees or posts, so I am not sure how those part perform, but I can say that me and two of my teenaged kids were in this to test the weight, and it did not creek, moan or let out any alarming sounds. Being a big guy with a bad back, my biggest concern about a hammock is if it fails and I fall, so no concerns with this (unless my wife jumps in also).I tested this in my basement and plan on taking in on vacation in March. I DID find this was warm after a quick nap test. It might have been because I was in a house trying it, but I think it might also be more than that, the material is like a wind breaker, so it does heat up (to me at least) more than the web style. That small issue aside, I much rather have something that supports me and removes the falling concern over a little extra heat.

This is such a lovely hammock that I’m not sure how it could be better, so I looked for a competing product to find out. The one chosen looked just like this one. It had been reviewed by over 1,000 people and collectively they gave it an impressive 4.7 stars. As of this moment, and excluding any discounts or coupons, this Toyven hammock costs $30 and the other one costs $77 ( $47 more).I wrote down everything as I went along. Here’s my analysis:CapacityToyven: 660 poundsCompetitor: 500 pounds.(Maybe that’s just a difference in how the weight bearing is evaluated. I’m not going to penalize the competitor for this).SizeToyven: 118” x 78”.Competitor: 120” x 72”WeightToyven: 1.6 poundsCompetitor: 1.6 poundsFabricToyven: 210T parachute nylon fabricCompetitor: 210T parachute nylon fabricFabric FeelToyven: With wrinkles removed, it felt like a sheet from my bed.Competitor: They report that it feels like a sheet from a bed.StitchingToyven: Triple stitchingCompetitor: Triple stitchingStrapsToyven: 6.7-foot-long adjustable tree straps (two of them)Competitor: 10-foot-long adjustable tactical grade ropes (two of them)Note: I think if you doubled Toyven’s straps they could tow a car. As straps rather than rope, their width is kinder to trees. Probably some people would prefer the kinder straps and others would prefer the longer rope. I’ll call it a tie.Metal HardwareToyven: D shaped carabiners (two of them)Competitor: D shaped carabiners (two of them)Stuff SacksEffectively the same size.SO the difference is…drumroll…nothing! Except for $47, which you might as well keep.To be fair, there are other hammocks in this price range which also look like this Toyven. Are they as good? Maybe, maybe not. But this Toyven is as good as a $77 highly regarded hammock, I can tell you that!

This hammock is made from good sturdy material. It folds up compactly and includes a drawstring bag to store in. I will use this to attach between two trees for a nice relaxing spot in the shade. It's easy to attach and sturdy enough to easily hold weight of 2 adults.
