I tried to install these connectors on RG8X with stranded center conductor. The crimp ring is fine. The center pin will not slip onto the stranded center conductor. Not usable.Either labeled wrong or poor quality control.

I installed these connectors on LMR240 coax cable for an external antenna to my internet gateway. However, they came loose after about 8 months of handling the gateway to power it down to restart it. I now realize it is important to leave the braided shield fully as long as (or longer than) the length metal tube that crimps down on the braid. Crimping down firmly on that braided shield is the ONLY thing that prevents the connector from separating from the coax cable. I've included a proper Shenzhen (the Eightwood product manufacturer) factory diagram of the connector showing its dimensions which should help you prepare the coax cable end for proper installation. I am now reinstalling new connectors on my cables with the help of this diagram. They should stay on this time.
