I used two of these inside a flange adapter to fix a flange 2" below the floor. These are perfect for that, and work fine on toilets that have less than 1/2" clearance between the flange and the toilet's output. Any more than that and I'd go with a fancy danco.

Wax rings low price works great now if old house sometimes you use 2 rings keeps toilet from leaking.

The fluid master 7510 wax is ring is a standard wax ring without the plastic flange. It fits 3" waste lines and comes in a well packaged box. We use these all the time, sometimes I order from here and other times from the box stores. The wax ring is soft, pliable, and yet still firm enough to not deform upon removal from box and unwrapping of the plastic keeper that the wax ring sits in. They also work better than the rubber rings and other various wax free kits sold in the stores, as sometimes the real deal just works better.
