I have a 5 gallon gas can that the spout broke on and it did not come with a vent installed. I ordered the 2 pack of the yellow and black spout and vent pack. The package came with two different size gas caps. One for coarse threads and one for smooth threads. I used the coarse thread cap and it fit perfectly! It did not leak when I filled up my mower. The seal was perfect! The spout is flexible and is thick plastic. The spout comes equipped with a gas cap. This is the only minor negative that I have. I wish it had a loop to slide over the spout so there is not a chance to lose the cap. This is the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. If I could give 4.5 stars, I would. The kit also, comes with a drill bit to install the vent cap. It works perfectly to install the vent cap! The vent fits tightly and it doesn't leak. It is so much faster, and easier to fill up my mower now! If you have a can that has a threaded vent on it, the kit comes with a replacement cap, should you need it. This kit is well worth the money and I would definitely recommend it. I will be ordering another set for the rest of my cans.

so i installed these on 2 gas cans that had those annoying nozzles with the push in and push down release mechanisms. and the Nozzle part works great. however the air vent cap on the part that would seat on the back of the cap is not air tight when closed and would allow for ambient air in and out as the gas got hot and cold throughout the days allowing water vapor into the gas can. also there are some smaller screw on caps that appear to not serve any purpose and none of the other parts that cam in these even have that angle or size of thread. but if all you need is a quick fix to a broken gas nozzle, these will certainly do the job. just don't expect the Air Vent cap to be able to work properly. and if the can tips over, it will certainly leak out of the air vent cap.

I was thrilled when I saw this kit. I have two gas gabs that needed a new sprout. One had lost it top the other had an unfortunate encounter with a rodent chewing on it. I like the different options this kit came with and I was able to fit the spouts onto both cans. I elected the screw on tops in both cases. The sprouts feel of fine quality, but not as Saturday as the spouts they are replacing, hence the four stars.

I had the opportunity to try the replacement nozzles on both types of cans applicable to this kit. The photos show both results#1 Neither large cap in the kit screwed on as they are both threaded differently than the original. So I used the old cap with the new nozzle. Works fine. The smaller vent cap did screw on and comes with a rubber gasket.#2 First large cap did not screw on but the other in the kit did. The hole for the vent was too large to accept the new vented cap. Too bad because my old one is harder to fasten.Long story short the kit includes 4 large caps and 4 vents applicable to two different type containers. I am satisfied with the results as I was able to mix and match to update my two containers. The new corrugated nozzle is not as flexible as the old type but does have a rubber gasket built into the nozzle. The stiffer design may keep a crack from developing. Albeit it may be more trouble with a fuller gas container not having the flexibility, causing the container to be lifted higher and more precisely to fill the gas tank. The caps on the nozzles are a real plus to keep gas from splashing out.

This Gas Can Spout Replacement Kit, Gas Can Nozzle Replacement (2 Kit) had one type of vent cap that did not fit any of my fuel cans. This Gas Can Spout Replacement Kit, Gas Can Nozzle Replacement (2 Kit) may not fit any of your fuel cans so measure them first and then take your chances.
