I purchased this gas cap for 2010 Honda accord EXL 4 cylinder Automatic. I didn’t want purchase OEM Honda parts cost nearly $90! My cap function great but due to old gasket, engine check light comes on time to time. I solely purchased this cap to get rubber gasket. I replaced gasket with new one and engine check light went off after driven 20 miles or so.

The gas cap work just fine but I kind of wish the strap was just a bit longer. It is long enough, but none too long. Note that it does not come with the piece that the end of strap attaches to that connects it to the car. If you take the old one off carefully enough you can reuse it, if you damage it you will need to order another.

Kept getting check engine light with evaporative code on 2015 honda fit. After gas cap change with this one, no more. Seems pretty tight as original gas cap. Great quality let's see how long it will last.

I wanted to like this gas cap because it's affordable, but it is poorly made. Within a week of purchasing it, it dropped on the ground during a fuel up and broke in half. Also, it didn't come with an attachment to secure it to the gas cap door. Will be going to the dealership for a Honda brand one now, as I want quality that will withstand a short drop on the ground. My original one fell all the time and never broke like this.

I was getting the check emmision system error on my 2015 Honda Civic EX; read online that it could be as simple as replacing the gas cap; purchased this item and looked up a video on how to install a new one.Went to turn on my car and lo and behold the error code disappeared! Can't say that it'll fix all emission system errors but in my case it did the trick! Saved a bunch of money vs taking it to the dealership. Highly recommend!
