Hammock Camping is REAL camping! Why haul around a big tent? Why go through the hassle of setting up tents with poles, on uneven uncomfortable ground? I've been using this Hammock for years now. Sleep diagonally, set up ropes about head height, so you can easly sit down on it like a chair/couch. In cool weather or wind, add a blanket beneath you for that bottom draft. Light weight. Comfortable. And you can set up anywhere, even in wet marshy areas, because you're off the ground! No more searching for the perfect flat grass patch, or hauling around padding for your tent floor.

Nice and roomy, sets up in a flash. I keep ropes in the bag to tie on trees for even faster set up. Will probably need a second one soon as kids are always fighting over it.

I like it. I'm not and never will be a hammock camper because I don't like sleeping in them. But this hammock and some tree straps are light enough for me to bring out backpacking/camping so that I have some extra, comfy seating wherever basecamp ends up being. Can't complain. The shape is a little bit 'meh' in regards to the sides, but for the price of the hammock I really have no issues. The shape of the sides aren't a fault, just my personal preference if they curled up a bit more.

Worst product I've ever used. I bought this less than a month ago. Got four uses out of it and it ripped in half. I tested the weight, it was perfectly fine. I know how to set them up, so that wasn't the issue either. I was laying in it (keep in mind I'm barely over 200lbs) and it just ripped right down the middle.Horrible, horrible product. Do not buy this garbage.

It's a hammock, but it's not a great hammock. Got a trek light gear hammock last year which is SO much better. Unfortunately, the Trek Light price climbed by 150% which is just unreasonable. This is an ok spare. Wouldn't buy this as my main hammock and wouldn't enjoy sleeping in it overnight as in my Trek Light. Looks ok in the living room anyway.

Just received mine a day or so ago, so these are very early impressions, but I am loving this hammock so far.The material is nice and light and breathable, though the trade-off being it is only rated to 250 pounds. I can feel a slight breeze through it, so it is nice and cool on these unseasonably warm days we are already getting here.It is definitely a single-occupancy set up (meaning it almost feels cramped, think the go-to word is "cozy") but I'm 6'8" tall, so a normal individual should feel fine. That being said, even with my large frame it is still very comfortable.I did not buy this for camping (though I love the idea and will have to find time to get away with it) but have selected an ideal spot at home. Did not get the hanging kit (sold separately, no idea what's in it) but 3 minutes of rope cutting and knotting, and I now have a nice set up between trees that is easy to put up and take down. Just a loop around each one, no drilling or damage required. In all, yes it is a light weight feeling rig (think it is around 12 ounces-ish) so no idea on life expectancy for it, but it is very comfortable for me, and has a great price on it for what I have received. Top marks from me!Plus it has a compact little duffle that it packs away into, surprisingly compact really. The fact it went back in with no effort was actually surprising. A rolled up tee shirt takes up almost as much space.

Pretty strong hammock--my boyfriend and I were able to lounge around in it together although it was a cozy fit. I also love that it is not difficult fold up and put in the attached bag, and works well with my (not included) hammock straps! Folds away and stores into a nice small size, brought it to music festivals, camping and trips to the park.

For the price, there is no better hammock. You may find others a few dollars cheaper, but they're generally from pretty unknown companies. Grand Trunk is as reputable of a company as any in the hammock industry. You don't have to worry about getting a cheap knockoff product, this is a hammock designed to be used for years. The material is very sturdy, and somewhat less elastic than a typical parachute material hammock. Because of this, I'd say it's somewhat less comfortable, but without using a parachute hammock back to back with this one (like I did) you would not notice it. A parachute material hammock is also nearly twice as expensive for a name brand one. Like all backpacking hammocks, this material is very breathable, it's also soft to the touch. There is no included tree straps. The hammock comes with rope at the ends to attach to your own straps. There are small "s" hooks included. I reccomend buying some cheap weight bearing spring clips at a hardware store for an upgrade. The included "s" clips however seem sturdy, and are extemely lightweight. I hung my own hammock using ENO Atlas straps, which this hammock worked well with.Which brings me to one of the biggest pluses of this hammock, the size and weight. It's nearly half the size packed as my other double parachute hammock. If you're looking to save space and weight, the only hammock you'll find better is the Grand Trunk Nano... which also happens to be more then 3 times as expensive, and not as comfortable. This hammock is perfect if you have a small pack, and or are just trying to pack light.Despite packing small, it opens up to a generously sized single person hammock. I'm 6'1" and 220 lbs and I don't feel cramped. A small camp pillow behind my head and I'm extremely comfortable (just make sure you're laying angled sideways, the correct way). There are a few downsides. Namely that your color choices are limited, and it's not as flashy as many other hammocks. You get a choice of camo, or a solid color. A few more options would go a long ways. Also while the "s" clips work fine, better lightweight spring clips or carabiners would be better, although for the price they are acceptable.Overall, this may be the perfect starter hammock. If you find its not for you, you're not out much money, but if you enjoy it, you're not stuck with a lousy hammock, you'll have a great hammock that should last. It's also en excellent choice for people who are trying to cut pack weight, as a back up hammock, or an extra for friends. Bottom line, there is no hammock for the price than can match the features and comfort of this hammock for under $20. Don't hesitate to buy this hammock.

So as a few comments mention above, one thing that strikes you is how thin the material feels. I've been really careful not to recklessly jump on when getting into this thing. It feels like it could tear if you weren't overly careful. Also, be aware that no straps are included so you may want to have that sort of equipment ready so you can use it out of the box. I had to buy the Trek Lite straps - they work really well.Having said that, I've taken this camping twice and also used it in my backyard. So far I've had no issues and enjoy using it whenever I can. It packs down really small and doesn't weigh too much so I've taken it backpacking even though I had a tent. Overall, for the price I don't think you can go wrong. I'm pretty satisfied with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for a starter hammock.

I was impressed with the good quality - very resistant and sturdy while being extremely compact and lightweight. I use this inside the house for my kids and have been using for over 6 months, bought a blue one first and then got a green one. Comes in a nice little pouch. The fabric is extremely thin, it's like those kiwi coats, but it's very resistant for kids and adults. Nice product.
