This is a teacher's best friend! High schoolers love to move the classroom thermostat setting at my school whenever teachers are on hallway duty outside the classroom. I have outsmarted them! I put this bad boy around my thermostat and now I am the only one who controls the temperature. Mwahaha. I'm not allowed to drill holes into the classroom wall, so I put it up using double sided scotch tape and it has held perfectly. I carry the key on my keychain and easily unlock and adjust the temperature when needed. Coworkers are impressed by my creative genius and have started buying them for their classroom thermostats too. I wish I had thought to purchase one of these years ago!

We have a teenager who refuses to NOT change the temp on our thermostat. In the summer, he's not happy unless we're trying for 65F; in the winter, he pushes it up to 90F.So we were going to install NEST-like systems that would require either an app or a PIN to operate the thermostat. Basically, 325 bucks to fix a problem. When we got the new thermostats, we found tha tthey needed power of their own and our system didn't provide any power to the existing thermostats, which operated on 2 AA batteries. instead.So we sent those back and ordered a couple of these babies. Really easy to install; problem solved. ;)
