These straps are thinner and lighter than my regular straps the were included with the hammock. However, I bought them to tie off my dog when camping and they work very well.

I've been hammock camping on and off for years; it's some of the most comfortable outdoor, and sometimes indoor sleeping I've ever done. I've alwasy used rope and my skill with knots to tie up my hammock, but that can lead to a lot of adjusting, which can be a pain when you've spent a long day on the trail or it's pouring down rain. These straps allow for quick attachment to an anchor point and quick attachment and adjustment to the hammock. As much as I pride myself on my knot tying skills, I just can't argue with that sort of convenience. The straps handle my 250lb frame without complaint (well, they might complain if they could! LOL). I'll update my review as I get more use out of it, should I enconter anything that warrants it but so far, I'm quite pleased with this product.

I am not an arborist, but do care about my trees. I know ropes can cause trauma to trees and have witnessed it myself so I'm happy these straps are designed to protect the sensitive part of trees. The outer few millimeters is the only living part of a tree, the core doesn't transport nutrients so the bark is super important. A common way to kill a tree is called girdling where you cut a shallow circle around the circumference of the tree cutting its vascular system. You only need to go in a centimeter for death to be assured... so... good for you for looking into tree friendly options. The straps, when applied correctly, help spread the load out over the bark minimizing pressure points. Make sure your straps are flat as if they are twisted or folded they can still cause trauma.I got a hammock to work with these straps from Sail. Works well. Easy setup and makes for a very comfortable place to relax.Recommended!

This hammock tree strap set available by brand PEZLUN can handle pretty much any suspension of weight you can throw at it. According to the advertising, it can hold up to 1320 lbs and I see no reason to argue with this assessment of the product.I like the bright orange stitched into the threading of this 9.8 foot version. It's very visible so you don't accidentally sideline yourself across the face when walking around your setup at night, though I've been just as easily prone to doing that during the day as well, hah. There is a smaller version available also, but I preferred the extra length for flexibility in the future.Everything you need is here, the durable fabric of the straps, but also strengthened carabiners attached, and designed to also withstand the weight advertised and hold up under the pressure.I recently have gotten into the idea of hammock camping, and I was not sure the accessories provided with my hammock tent would continue to hold up over time, which is why I decided to invest in these, and I am glad that I did so. Very good investment for any camping enthusiast, for a variety of potential reasons they could be used for, besides hammocks. 5 stars.
