Installation precautions Before repairing the water heater, disconnect or turn off the main power supply Before repairing the heating element, confirm the voltage/power with a voltmeter Turn off the cold water supply to the heater. Ensure that the surface of the new component flange is clean. Close the temperature and pressure safety valves. Reconnect the power to the water heater. Cycle test the water heater to determine proper operation Carefully check to ensure that your wires are connected correctly and securely. Check for leaks.

It works as described and to what it is intended. Easy installation however the quality of the material could be stainless steel for durability. When i removed the original part, the resistance was in pieces, specially the copper.

We are grateful that we were able to find this and get it as quick as we did. My FIL was getting out of the hospital and we needed to repair the wh and went all over our town to look for part and they didn’t have any available being able to locate on here worked out for us and he had hot water again better than before. Working great so far.
