The Explorer Ultralite Zip XL is another dependable favorite on the long trails and holds a special importance in the list of all the models. It is in the most common weight range of up to 250 lbs / 113kg and are an excellent choice for anyone who wants a hammock that is roomier than the Backpacker and lighter than the Expedition. While originally designed for people up to 7’ tall, anyone under 6 ft tall will be very pleased with this choice. It gets its light weight and compact packed size by using higher thread count fabrics, which also create extra comfort from the slightly more stretchy fabric. The Zip model has a side entrance with a full length heavy duty YKK zipper and two double sliders. Mesh can be pulled back and secured with an elastic so you can watch the stars.

Love it. Top quality Hammock. I have the xxl Safari classic and I have the Expedition xl zip. Both are great. Best hammocks I have ever used. No more tents for me. Thanks Hennessy.

Bought this for my son and he swears by it now. It stayed dry through the rain and he found it very comfortable. I even fit and I am 6'6"The top tarp should be a bit bigger would be my only complaint, a sideways rain may cause an issue
