I ordered these as screw caps for my brown shutters, I had one fly off in a recent storm. I replaced the shutter with replacement brown plastic retention "pegs" like was originally used for 3 of the 6 connection points but 3 of the original pegs broke off when it fell leaving pegs partially in the masonry. Attempts at drilling removed some plastic from the affected holes so my solution was to affix it with metal screws anchoring into the very plastic material left behind!This worked very well, but these caps are the finishing touch because they match the other 3 original pegs once you close the cap on the stainless screw heads I used. The are also water tight once closed and snap securely!I think they market these for upholstery but they can be used anywhere an exposed fastener isn't ideal and needs to be color-matched!Great product!

These plastic hinged screw cover caps are not bad overall and they might still work just fine, but they are made out of much harder plastic than expected so they are not that flexible and might not create a proper seal if that is what you are after.

About 20~30% of these wont snap shut. The door just springs back open and you have to swap it out for another. When they work, they're great.
