The hole locations and cuts aren't precise enough that you get a perfect fit out of the the two shelves together, but it's good enough that I dont really notice it anymore. The finish material is pretty nice and not cheap looking. I wouldn't put anything super heavy on it, but it holds up my books and knick knacks just fine.

Assembles easily ... just don't get 1 of pieces upsidedown like I did & have to redo ... those screws only like to be used a small amount before strip of the food fill of the board becomes too loose to secure properly.I ordered in Black to match my decor ... looks GREAT on my desk & now have places for all the paraphernalia that was cluttering my desktop ... definite improvement! Am considering adding a 2nd Unit?? DOES slip around IF bumped since light-weight but that could be anchored with some double-backed tape/silicone coasters/etc ... so far not an issue though. Material is basic melamine (or at least that is what it used to be called) so appears/feels like wood but is easy-care & wipes-off easily. Highly Recommend as Great Space-Saver & Organizer!

I have a small apartment, and wanted to create a space where I can out my art supplies and see it well. (I am very visual, and need to see products in front of me)This product was easy to set up and looks great on my little desk. I was it was slightly more story. One thing I did not realize when buying the product is that the two pieces you assemble are not screws in together so if knocked they may fall over. As long as you are careful it is a great product. I love that you can assemble the differently if you would like. If that makes sense. Great for an art station or office desk. :)

I wasn't sure about this little desktop shelf unit, but was I ever surprised. It was so easy to assemble and even came with a nifty little hex key/screwdriver tool to help but the screws in (although I recommend using a regular screwdriver, it will save on your hands). The pre-drilled holes lined up perfectly and the screws went in with ease. The holes are even countersunk so the screws go in flush and don't stick out at all. I would definitely buy more of these if I ever need them.
