don't think I could have removed the inner tie rods without this tool. gripped tightly and helped break loose the tie rods with minimal effort.

This works fine but personally I think a pipe wrench is just as good and much faster. These will mar your parts less if that's a priority for you, and it's the only solution if you don't have pipe wrenches laying around already.

I tried a few other devices...the one with splines but the tool wouldn't go over the Inner Tie Rod ...The other devices didn't need splines, it just grabbed onto the ball which as you rotated the tool all it did was to remove metal from the head... This device was a bit more time consuming but if you tighten it properly, it will indeed loosen the Inner Tie Rod. For the price it was great! I used it on a Nissan Rogue

Worked to remove inner tie rods, had to crank the nuts down so hard that one stripped and is now stuck on. The other side has enough adjustability to still use the tool, but I will prob just buy another next time 8 have to do it. Sell them cheaper at Princess Auto

The nuts aren’t very sturdy on the body and break in the thread, rendering it both unable to tighten and remove from use. Avoid this product!
