Everything looked fine as I was unboxing the scale I took the battery cover off so I can see if it works and the batteries came all corroded but there’s no damage to the scale at least that I know of until I go buy some new batteries

Purchase this scale last fall and it worked wonderfully. Weights seemed accurate and well constructed. Also liked that it contains a tape measure. About a month ago I began getting an error message and it no longer worked. Contacted manufacturer who replied promptly and replaced the scale.

I got this Kraken Bass Scale a couple of weeks ago and wanted to put it to work and see what I thought before writing this review. I have been following Kraken Bass on Youtube and on his blog for a couple years now and have loved all the great tips he gives. When I saw that he had his own scale for sale, I just had to try it out. It showed up in nice, clean, and simple packaging that was easy to remove without having to get out the scissors and hack away. After putting a couple AAA batteries in and turning it on, it lit up and was ready to get Kraken. I liked that the screen appeared bright and clear. It even greeted me with a, "HELLO." The red colored rubber paint on the handle feels nice too and gives a little extra grip when handling it and a fish. I like the little magnet insert on the back to hold the hook in place so it doesn't get hung up on everything in your gear box, although it might need to be a little stronger to keep it from coming loose as the hook on mine will fall off the magnet if I give it a good shake which might actually be a good thing when you're holding a fish and getting the scale out to weigh it. Last thing I noticed upon opening was the Kraken Bass logo on the front which looks pretty sick.I loaded the scale in my fishing gear and went fishing to test it out. After watching lots of Kraken Bass Youtube videos, I felt confident in catching something decent enough to weigh and boy was I right. This scale even seems to bring some good luck to the user as I waded out with it in my pocket and flung a big senko near some reeds. I suddenly felt a tug on the line and ended up reeling in the biggest largemouth I have ever caught. I slipped it on the large hook of the scale and got me some truth. It weighed in at just over 5 pounds! A few days later I went fly fishing and made sure to put this in my float tube. On the first cast I stripped in the biggest smallmouth I have ever caught! I was super stoked and loved how easy it was to use the scale. It quickly gave me the weight as well as options for kg and ounces if you might prefer another unit of measure. The measuring tape is another awesome add-on which can help the user get some more truth. It says it goes to 1m which is about 39 inches, but when I pull the tape out on mine, it only gets to about 32 or 34 inches before I can feel a lot of resistance and it feels like it might break if I keep pulling. I am a little worried about the tape measure breaking if I use it a lot, but so far it has done what it needed to do.I would definitely recommend purchasing this scale. It looks good, is easy to use, and has features that will help you know exactly what caliber of fish you are catching. I love this thing and I always make sure I don't leave home without it. I can't wait to use it some more and maybe break some more personal best records. Lets get Kraken!

I follow Kraken Bass on multiple social media sites and they never disappoint. I have caught more bass than I can even count since using their advice. So, when I saw they had their own line of fishing scales I had to get one. Once again I am blown away by how helpful Kraken Bass has been. This scale is top of the line. It has the Kraken Bass Symbol on the front and a firm handle so you won't drop the monster bass you are weighing.It comes with a built in tape measure that extends over 3 feet so you can easily weigh and measure your catch.The whole scale is digital and accurate. It is way easy to use and I am thrilled with the compact size that is easy to carry around or store in the boat. I would recommend this product to anyone.

The Kraken Bass Fishing Scale is great! It is small enough to fit in my tackle box but big enough to weigh the beast that I catch once in a while.I was initially sceptical about purchasing it because it was only $20 but decided to try it out. It performed better than I could have imagined!It has a feature that sets the weight after it has been on the scale for a few seconds so you don't have to worry about your fish keeping still the whole time to get an accurate read. The other cool thing is the tape measure.When I bought it i did not realize it had a tape measure. As soon as it came in the mail and I got it and saw I could measure my fish as well as weigh it I was sold.The Kraken Bass Fishing Scale is the best thing on the market for mobile fish scales. If you are a fisherman that wants people to believe you when you say how big your fish are then this is the scale for you.
