It feels a little bit harsh to give this 4 stars rather than 5, but it arrived with a decent gouge out of the finish. It hasn't impacted the performance, but was just a bit disappointing. The rod is really well made however.In terms of performance this rod has been great! Since it's a casting rod the handle has the extra length so you can really bomb some weight for an amazing distance. The speed of the action is just right as well. We're fishing off of the shore and some docks in Washington State and it has been a great addition to our rods.

Full disclosure, I got this rod for trophy muskie fishing in freshwater. It may be a bit excessive, but it's surely better than my 6-1/2 foot bass rod that I have been using. I'm very impressed with this rod. Immediately upon opening the package you can tell that this is a quality rod. Line guides are properly installed and they are all online with each other. The inserts are also properly installed, no rough edges and nothing is loose. The butt is nice and firmly attached with no excess glue squeezed out. The reel seat as well as the line guides are quality name brand hardware so I do not forsee any issues with those. The pole itself is perfectly straigh and has a nice wrap on the handle. The handle is a bit long, but it's supposed to be and it will assist you in yeeting your bait/lure into another dimension. Usually I prefer a 1 piece rod, but at 10 feet long I am glad it breaks down or I don't know how I would fit it in my truck. The two pieces fit snugly together and does not affect sensitivity as much as I thought it would. Overall I am very excited for muskie opener in 2 months and cannot wait to use this rod. If something bad happens with the rod I will update my review, but it doubt it will. You can just tell that this is a quality fishing rod that should last a long time.

The thing I like about Littma rods is that they perform as well as the big name rods you’ll see in tackle shops but they cost far less than those well known brands.This is a conventional rod, meaning it’s meant for use with conventional or “revolving spool” reels.In other words this isn’t a spinning rod.It’s still a surf casting rod and it’s got the power to launch 1 to 4 ounces far out over the breakers.Littma calls this rod the “All Rounder” and I think that’s a pretty good name for it because it’s a versatile fishing rod.It can be fished with bait or you can use it to cast lures.The rod has lots of backbone and it won’t have any problems taking on large fish.In fact, you’ll give out long before this rod does.It is solidly made of graphite for toughness, sensitivity and light weight .It has good quality components and you’ll scratch your head over how Littma can produce such fine rods for the prices they sell them for.Seriously, I’ve seen rods with similar features and specifications selling for hundreds more than what this one sells for.I won’t buy those expensive rods.Not when Littma is making them as good as this one.You’d like this rod if it cost a lot but you’ll like it even more because the price is so reasonable.Two thumbs up.Cheers!

This fishing pole came in a huge box, I got a notice from the post office that they couldn't deliver it and I had to go pick it up, then it barely fit in my car, it reached from the back of the trunk space all the way to the front windshield. When getting it home, although yes, it's a 12 foot pole in total length, it really didn't need such a huge box. Anyway, aside from that. Seems like a decent fishing pole, my husband will use it as a bait caster, has decent movement for such a thick pole.
