I usually use the modified S-hook pullers together with a pry bar to get lower control arm ball joints out of the knuckle, but sometimes it can be hard to get the leverage when you’re working low / on jack stands because long pry bars will hit the ground bevor you get the whole ball joint stud out.Had exactly that happen today when pulling the lowers on a Pathfinder, and by using this tool together with a long 1/2 ratchet instead I was able to get a better angle and get the ball joint out.Worked well for me - a welcome addition to the toolbox!

Perfect control arm / ball joint tool ! It's exactly what I needed to get the job done. It's milled out of a solid piece of steel which is nice because it's very durable and hefty and it will last a long time. It's also very thick! It's painted with a black paint to keep from rusting.
