No flying jingles/zills after a good few gigs playing with sticks. Nice ‘ching’ than drumset tambourine. Meinl tambourines have always lost zills (I returned 2 in the past) in my experience but this hi-hat is an unexpected surprise in terms of quality for the price.

Buongiorno. Cliente Amazon pluriennale soddisfatto.Francesco R.

This is a good ol’ ching ring. It is most audible when you are working the hats with your foot. There may be some difference in the way closed or open hats sound while struck, but it would take a very discerning ear or mic on a quieter set of hats to discern this. The product is well made and essential for nailing those live Moby Dick moments! One thing to note is that it can only be used on a hi-hat, unlike the cheaper/lighter weight Meinl ching rings that can be placed on multiple cymbal types. There‘s really only one place/way to mount this one, and there is no easily accessible part of the frame to strike it directly with a stick. As mentioned, this mainly adds tambourine to foot-driven hi-hat tempos.
