This isn't really a microscope, there are no magnifying features as such, rather a digital magnifying glass that has a preset zoom. The zoom in feature is used to set the focus. All in all, id still give this toy a good pass. As it was a gift and the child loved it nonetheless!

I got this microscope to look at some bugs I found on my houseplant. I'm so glad I did! Everyone kept telling me they were a "bad" bug and that I needed to "burn" my plant and any other ones around it. I was able to get up close and personal with the insects on my leaves and see that they were just springtails! Needless to say, I'm ecstatic! This little gadget is addictive. I've been looking at any and everything with it. Very neat to see the world in such a magnified view! Great tool for kids to learn about bugs, etc. My only complaint is that when you attempt to focus the view, it causes the entire microscope to move. I think it would be better if there were a dial on it near your thumb to prevent that. But overall, I'd definitely recommend this for kids AND adults alike! It takes pictures, has 3 different light levels, lightweight, and not a bad color either! Pretty simple to use although it took me a minute to figure out how to delete photos. Came with a lanyard. No video recording (that I'm aware of.) Battery life isn't the best but it's rechargable! I am clumsy and have dropped it several times with no damage to it. I'm happy with it!

Il est impossible pour un enfant de quatre ans de se servir de ce microscope, il ne reste pas mobile, même si on ne bouge pas, il bouge tout le temps, je n’y arrive pas moi-même trop difficile

It has 200x zoom and a decent camera to take pictures. You can connect it to a computer for a bigger view, which is handy. The built-in lights are bright and you can adjust them, so it’s easy to see tiny details. It’s small and portable, with a lanyard that makes it easy for kids to hold and use safely. Great for checking out bugs, plants, coins, or doing simple science stuff. Overall, a cool little tool to get kids curious about the microscopic world.

This is a very cool little toy. Wouldn't quite call it a microscope, more of a digital magnifying glass.

What an amazing Microscope, my daughter and girlfriend loved it. My 5 year old daughter looks at her skin, leaves, bug, etc. Not to mention she has dropped it several of time and still works good. Great product.

This is a fun microscope for the kiddos to use and explore random things they find in nature or elsewhere. It's a good size and can be carried around with no issues. Because of the high magnification it's important to have the object be as stationary and flat as possible to ensure you can get a good focus. The inclusion of the LCD screen is awesome compared to using traditional lenses. The screen is a decent size and allows for more people to see what's going on underneath the lens (and to help little ones adjust focus). Being able to hook up to a PC and having the ability to store photos/videos are excellent additions that provide great utility. This is definitely a fun gift for a curious kid (or adult) and easily recommended.
