I was worried these would get soggy compared to a styro option, but they don't. I actually filled one up with a dishcloth and poured hot water into it, and just let it sit on my counter to see how it held up before I risked putting food in them to take out to the field. I figured if it holds hot water, it will be fine with regular solid foods! It softened up a tiny bit after 1/2 hour, but didn't leak through and the container didn't crumble or pill up when I dried it out. Way more durable that I expected. They stack decently well too. Even full of hot food, I stack them 4 deep and they don't collapse (but maybe that's pushing my luck. lol). Great non-plastic/non-styro option. Just wish it wasn't such a HUGE pack as I will take several years to go through them, but that's not a biggie at all. They come in 4 sets of 50, so I gave a few packs to some family members.
